The tee shot plays from a tee on top of a ridge up to a generous fairway.While some of the plateaus have been softened on the property, this plateau remains in its steep form creating a second shot reminiscent of the second hole at Pine Valley.7In keeping with variety and change of direction, this downhill par four is the longest on the course.The rolling fairway funnels down into the large pond on the right side of the hole.With a steep drop and a bunker to the left of the green, the best angle to approach the green is from the right placing an emphasis on accuracy as well as length.8This is a true three-shot par five. Water challenges the tee shot on the right and then the hole climbs past a row of fairway bunkers.These bunkers define the angle of play into this elevated green site.9To the left of the green is a sharp drop that falls into the “quarry”: a large, sandy area that is a common feature on this hole as well as hole number eighteen.The front nine ends with a dramatic par three.
