1Keep your drive down the right half of the fairway, as any thing slightly left will kick off towards the trees.2Correct choice of club is everything on this hole.
It plays longer than the yardage so prepare to club up.3Tee shot just left of the marker avoids two well positioned bunkers on the right side of the fairway leaving a straight forward approach to the green.4A deceptively tricky hole! Tee shot needs to be positioned well to the left to give you the best line into the hole. 5A straight forward par 3. Percentage play is left side of the green as anything missing the green right will leave you a difficult chip.6A slight dog-leg to the right. Tee shots down the left half will give you a direct access to the green. Anything right off the tee will block your view for the second shot.7This medium length par 5 requires an accurate drive assisting the avoidance of the fairway bunker on your second shot. A large green gives plenty of opportunity for a birdie at thi8A well guarded green. The shorter hitters will require an accurate shot to thread it though the two bunkers that hug the front left and right of the green.9An uphill dog-leg right par 5. This hole is ideally played up the left side of the fairway to avoid being blocked out by a large tree on your approach.10Canterbury’s longest par 4, a ditch is in play for longer hitters off the tee, so beware! All approach shots should be aimed at the right side of the green to allow for the nat11Take an extra club on this picturesque uphill par 3.12Canterbury’s signature hole. A tee shot avoiding the ditch but in the left half of the fairway is perfect. Approach shots to this sloping green should be kept below the hole if a13A spectacular elevated tee. The drive is ideally left half of the fairway which opens up the green, all approach shots follow the natural contours that slope from left to right.14An uphill par 4 hole requiring clearance of the ditch and a decent uphill lie in the middle of the fairway. Avoid landing the ball to the right of the fairway as it kicks right int15A dog-leg right, with a right-to-left sloping fairway makes this hole a real challenge, a tee shot that finishes on the left side of the fairway, but avoiding the bunkers is ideal.16Keep your tee shot to the right side of the fairway and the slope will work the ball round to the centre. 17A tough par 3! This is one hole where coming up slightly short is not a disadvantage, anything clearing the fairway bunker will leave you a simple chip18An excellent finishing par 5! Take aim at the left hand edge of the clubhouse off the tee for the perfect line. The second shot should favour the left hand side.
