1The hole is downhill and a good drive will avoid the copse of trees down the right and the conifers on the left. The second shot should be aimed slightly right but left of the bunk2The first par five hole on the course seems a long way. Unless you're a long hitter the second shot will probably have to be a lay up, with your third a bit more club than it looks3This is a simple looking hole! With the woods on your left and a spinney on your right, the green is guarded by a single bunker and a wicked slope on the front right.4You haven't got a choice. A straight drive down the middle avoiding the trees and rough on the right and the woods on the left, will position you for a second shot to the right han5This is the longest par three, usually played into the prevailing wind. The woods on the left are out of bounds and the trees and gorse bushes on the right are less punishing. Neit6This is a blind tee shot that should be aimed right of centre, where the fairway will gather your ball into the middle of the fairway.7This is a tight drive with a fairway that gets wider the further up you go. The woods on the left are out of bounds and the virgin forest on the right welcomes your ball with open 8"The prevailing wind is from the south west and club selection and driving accuracy are the key to this hole, especially as there is a 130 yard carry over bushes9You must give way to cars and walkers on this hole as the drive is over the road that goes to the club house. The fairway bunker on the right is where your tee shot should be aimed10A drive up the middle will ensure a simple second shot to the green. However, the undulating fairway will give you an unpredictable lie and concentration is vital.11The hedge on the left hand side of this hole will always make you aim a bit further right than you normally would. Consequently, the tee shot ends up somewhere on the right by the 12Out of bounds on the left, or a ditch by the hedge will force you further right than you intend to go. As long as you're not in the longer stuff on the right, your second shot is s13This hole looks simple enough. The two copses in the distance won't trouble you if you're sensible off the tee. If you intend going for the green, be prepared to suffer the consequ14The wind plays tricks on this par 3. You feel it on your back on the tee, but the flag tells you something else. Depending on the wind strength and pin position, you could be playi15From the back tees this is a true test of your golfing ability and well deserves its stroke index one status. The fairway looks wide enough to hit, but for some reason the trees on16A straight drive down the fairway will give you a choice - lay up or go for the green with your second shot.17This is a difficult hole, usually into the wind and will test your driving ability. The left to right sloping fairway will ensure that your ball will end up on the right.18This hole heads back to the club house against the prevailing wind. The tee shot should be hit out to the right, allowing it to drift back on the wind to the fairway.
