1The River Misbourne runs directly in front of the 1st tee and may well intimidate the challenged player. The rising ground between mid-fairway and the green tends to make the hole 2The elevated tee presents a delightful view across the Misbourne Valley. This long downhill par 4 is skirted on the left and right with trees and a bunker on the left at 278 yards 3A longish drive from the men's tee is required to carry light rough to the fairway. Trees encroaching from the left are the focal point and must be avoided to have any chance of re4This dog-leg left requires a well struck drive. The fairway gathers balls towards the bunkers on the right side and there are penal trees and rough on the left. 5A testing uphill hole well bunkered and lined on both sides by dense woodland. The combination of the slope and rough offers very little run and only the finest of tee shots will m6This short par 4 is guarded short right of the green by a large tree and the perfect tee-shot will be hit slightly left of this.7This is a dog-leg par 5 where the player's only realistic chance of reaching the green in two is to fly the tall trees at the corner, a carry of 260 yards.8A fairly straight forward par 3, however the good-sized tiered green is well protected by a bunker and trees on the left and a bunker and pond to the right.9The drive is frequently straight into the prevailing wind but the pond a short distance from the tee should present no difficulty. A good strike is required to carry the long stret10This strong par four rewards a drive in the left half of the fairway which gives players a clear approach to the green. Those choosing to favour the right side to avoid the dense h11This hole dog-legs right and requires an accurately positioned drive if a second shot over the tall trees on the right is to be avoided. Catching the fairway bunker on the right wi12This sharp dog-leg to the left tempts players to carry the high trees which can reduce the second shot to a wedge if successful. The penalty for failure, however, will almost certa13A testing tee shot over a small valley through which runs the service road to the upper parking area. Gorse bushes, over-hanging trees and heavy rough will penalise the poor shot.14On this dog-leg right a long drive will be rewarded with an excellent view down the hill to an inviting green. The fairway slopes quite steeply from left to right near the green ta15A good long straight par four lined with trees on both sides and two fairway bunkers on the right side which can catch short drives. Another bunker a little short of the green on t16The green of our signature hole is set in a tree enshrouded bowl well below the tee. The green is heavily bunkered and a steep slope down to woodlands on the left can leave a fien17This undulating hole is played from a high tee overlooking a lake and the Misbourne valley. There is significant trouble on both sides and the objective is the flatter landing area18A long par four dog-leg left and another panoramic view of the Misbourne valley from the elevated tee.
