1No gentle opener this testing Par 4. The tee shot favours the brave, if you choose to hug the large oak trees to the left of the fairway you will be rewarded with a shorter iron sh2Appears to be rather an innocuous short hole, but water lurks to each side and to the back of the green.3A straight Par 4 requiring an accurate tee shot through an avenue of trees. Right side of fairway offers an easier approach to the green. 4A Par 4 with a slight dog leg from left to right and worthy of its stroke index 2 rating. A drive down the left side of this tree lined fairway gives a clear approach to the green,5A gentle dog leg to the left around two lakes which will penalise the golfer trying to cut the corner. The large green presents an inviting target, perhaps one of the easier Par 4'6From the white tees a Par 5 requiring a testing carry over water, then there is a generous fairway but the right hand greenside bunker cuts in more than you might think.7A lovely Par 4, the drive is again through an avenue of trees, followed by an inviting if longish second downhill to a green protected on both sides by deep bunkers, and with a bac8A stunning Par 3 demanding an accurate long iron or even a wood tee shot over water (there is a bail out area to the right) to a two tier green, a solitary bunker is all this green9A short Par 4 where accuracy is more important than length. A good drive will be rewarded with a short iron to a green which is well guarded by hidden bunkers.10The back nine starts with a real tester 455 yards Par 4 where par often feels like a birdie. A good drive is required to find the lower level of a three tiered fairway11At 225 yards the fairway narrows into an avenue of trees at this Par 4.12A classic short hole played in a wooded glade across a small valley to quite a large green, giving the impression of playing less than its actual length, remember to club yourself 13A Par 5 which winds through attractive woodland, the premium is on the tee shot which demands accuracy. For longer hitters the green may be in reach, a birdie opportunity certainly14Although not overly long this Par 4 requires great accuracy. The tee shot must favour the right side of a tight fairway to give a clear second shot to the green. 15Another Par 4 running back in the opposite direction to the 14th, again demanding a straight tee shot through trees, although the fairway widens for longer shots. 16The tee shot is partially blind as you hit over the brow of the hill on this dog leg Par 4.17Completes a magnificent quartet of short holes. Although only 172 yards long the golfer may just be intimidated by a lake which must be carried. The green sits in a very attractive18An uphill Par 5 to finish, a tee shot played between two large oak trees to the left and three fairway bunkers to the right will leave a third oak tree to negotiate with the second
