1A fairly tough opening tee shot in front of the clubhouse. 2A drive to the bottom of the slope at 200 yards is ideal as this provides you with a flat lie for your approach shot.3A short yet demanding par 5 best played with the head rather than the heart.4All uphill so take plenty of club as the front bunker can be like a magnet.5Not a difficult par 5 but a hole requiring strategy. Two fairway bunkers on the right side at 220 -250 yards from the tee govern the decision making process. 6A long straight drive favouring the right side of the fairway will take the sting out of this hole.7Considered to be an easier hole but a teaser. The driver could stay in the bag but ‘Tigers' may have a go as it is reachable if hit on the right line.8Another hole where it is best to position your drive right of centre. This will open up the green and take the large sweet chestnut trees on the left of the green out of play.9This hole is all uphill so take one more club than the yardage suggests.10picturesque hole from an elevated tee that invites you to hit an arrow straight 300 yard drive.11short hole that should be given a lot of respect. Aim your tee shot to the extreme right side of the fairway as there is a severe slope from right to left. 12great short hole that is guarded by an oak tree on the right and an old cart track and bunker in front of the green13Aim your drive at the tallest tree in the distance that you can only see the top half of.14As the fairway slopes from left to right the bunker on the right is well placed to catch a drive.15A tough driving hole as the fairway slopes left to right and there is O.O.B. on the right. 16The percentage play here is to take from the tee a club to get 200 yards up the fairway and take the large oak tree out of play.17The green is well above the tee and all the trouble is short so take one more club than you think and ‘fly it high'.18After the rigours of a testing back 9, the 18th is relatively forgiving.
