Again distance can be deceptive. Higher handicap players should consider playing short of the cross bunkers with4143 Yards. First of the good Par 3’s at Buchanan Castle.Cross bunker blocks entry to green and will take a well-struck shot to clear Important to land ball on the same level as the flag on this two-tiered green.5265 Yards. Excellent ‘risk and reward’ hole.Longer hitters can go for green with tee shot if they feel brave enough. In medal play, a tee shot laid up short of the burn may provide the best option.6477 Yards First of the two Par 5’s offering an excellent opportunity to improve your card, but be aware it can also provide a challenge. Do not cut more of the dog leg than you s7Stroke Index 1 – 424 yards. A great golf hole that requres steady play. A score to your handicap at this hole is always a great result. For the majority of players this is a 3 sh8Buchanan’s signature hole – a fantastic Par 3 over water. A well struck tee shot can still provide a birdie opportunity but anything less could land you in trouble. 149 Yards. 9A dog-leg to the right which again requires accurate placement from the tee.A row of cross bunkers guards the front of the green and this should be taken into consideration when contemplating your second shot. 387 Yards10Totally reconstructed hole – offering a good challenging start to the back nine.Care with approach shot is required to leave an easier putt. Be aware of slopes from left to right on green. 162 Yards.11360 Yards. From the back tee, the opening shot is very fair but challenging.The brave golfer would play along the left hand side of the fairway leaving an easier approach.
