Miss the green on the second shot and this becomes a difficult par.2Although the long trap on the right is inviting, the hole is wide-open off the tee making hole 2 a great hole to smoke the driver.The green is well protected by sand and long rough, but like many of the holes at Dunes West an accurate second shot is needed.3Get out your driver and get ready to smoke it on hole 3 on this wide open hole. Left center is the best location.Your second shot requires accuracy to get to the wide shallow green with a deep bunker in the front all making this hole more fun when you avoid the bunker.4Don't worry, if you miss s right on the second shot, a birdie is still possible. The second way to play this hole is with a 3 or 5 wood off the tee followed by a lay-up to waters eThere are two ways to play hole 4 at Dunes West. One is with the driver over the trees to the left, and then a long iron or 5 wood over water to a narrow green.5Hole 5 at Dunes West is a tough par 4. Use the big stick for a long drive and then a long iron to land on the narrow green.Miss the second shot left or right and a par beccomes tough work on this picturesque hole with creek views.6With the pin in the back right (and the wind in your face) the bunkers on the right come more into play and the tee shot is much more demanding.This par 3 is with pristine marsh and water views on the left is a straightforward hole with the pin in the front of the green.7You'll have a good chance for a birdie on Hole 7 at Dunes West and the perfect opportunity to use your driver on this par 5—just be sure to loosen your grip, then let it rip whilYour second shot off of the fairway is great for a wood or long iron.8Hole 8 at Dunes West is a tough par 3 with the wind in your face and the pin in the left back. The green is huge with many O-Bvious and subtle undulations.Hole 8 at Dunes West is a tough par 3 with the wind in your face and the pin in the left back. The green is huge with many O-Bvious and subtle undulations.9Hole 9 at Dunes West is a par 4 with picturesque marsh views and pleny of challenging water to navigate.Get out your driver and cut the corner on this dog-leg right.Your second shot is over the marsh to a huge green. Note the pin placement as it could be a two club difference.10You'll want to hit your driver left center at Dunes West's Hole 10 so that your second shot is not blind.Your second shot is then to a narrow deep green which slopes to the right. Don't miss and land on the left side of the green otherwise a par on this hole becomes elusive.11Hole 11 at Dunes West is another fun par 5 requiring a driver off of the tee.Your second shot must avoid marsh on the right side of the fairway and in front of the green.Hit your second shot down the left side to the green or lay up for a wedge shot to a wide, narrow green. If you hit your ball into the marsh on the right you may want to sell your 12Hole 12 at Dunes West is a par 3 requiring an accurate tee shot. Short or to the left in deep bunkers makes par much more difficult.13Get out your driver, take a deep breath, loosen your grip and kill the ball down the middle of Hole 13.Forget about the bunkers on the right and left. Your second shot requires finesse as a miss right or left gives you trouble.14A bunker on the right front is a major tourist attraction. A par here is a very gratifying.Hole 14 at Dunes West is tough par 4 requiring a long straight drive followed by a long iron or fairway wood15Get out your driver for this fun hole with birdie potential and then forget about the bunkers and out of bounds areas on the right.Once you land on the fairway, grab your fairway wood and hit it again—just go left or rigth to avoid the bunkers in the middle of the fairway.A wedge shot over a deep bunker to a sloping green remains. e that the bunkers are in the middle of the fari16Drive the ball down the middle of hole 16 towards Wagner Creek and then hit the toughest second shot at Dunes West.The green is well protected by bunkers and water while sloping left to right.17Hole 17 at Dunes West is a par 3 with deep bunkers on the left and Wagner Creek on your right.Pin placement here could be worth two clubs. Both alligators and tourists seem to really enjoy the water on the right.18Hole 18 at Dunes West is a a great finishing hole along Wagner Creek requiring a long drive left center.Hit the drive right and your second shot is blocked out by the large oaks. The green is wide, shallow and protected by marsh on the left.
