The layup shot must be placed between, or beyond, two fairwaybunkers that flank a right to left sloping fairway.3The green is well guarded by a deep bunker in the front/left portion of the green as well as another to the right sideThe green slopes from left to right and shotsplaced to the right side of the green have a good chance of running off the surface and into the rough.4The fourth hole is a dogleg right around a beautiful lake.Longer hitters can cut the corner and fly the lake leaving a short iron into the green. Most players should place their tee shot between the water on the right and the fairwaybunkers on the left leaving a middle iron into a green with an open entrance on the left and a bunker on the right.5This hole features a red penalty area up the left side anda deep fairway bunker on the right of the first landing zonePlaying close to the left bunker in the second landing area provides the best angle into the green. Fairway approaches wrap around both sides of the front-left bunker, creating a v6The 6th is longest par 4 on the propertyA good tee shot is required to reach this hole in regulation.Stray tee shots will need to negotiate a pond that is short and left of the green. Par is always a good score here.7This hole features a deep bunker short/left of the green as well asbunkers on the right.The green is severely sloped from back to front, so keeping the tee shot below the hole is the smart play.8This long par 4 requires a tee shot that needs to carry the left cross bunkers,or fit between them and the and rough and trees on the right.The green is guarded by a deep, front/right bunker.9One of the toughest holes at Old Westbury,this hole plays significantly up hill. The tee shot must avoid the left fairway bunker.The green features a false front and a strong, back to front slope.
