The front bunkers are deceptively short of the front edge,if brave enough you can use the preparred approach to run onto the green. Take enough club, beware of the ridge that surrounds the back edge, its a tough par save from there!9From the championship tees it’s a monster par 4! Keep your tee shot away from the two hungry bunkers on the elbow of the dogleg.From there you will be faced with a long iron or even a wood to a challenging green, anything short and the deep bunker on the right will await your next shot.10The only blind tee shot at Orsett, aim at the Poplar trees to the right,taking care not to go too far on this split fairway, beware of the large slope in the front third of this large green.11Big hitters can reach this one in two. 9new rivetted bunkers protect this hole; rarely will the ball run towards this green due to the slopes in front of the green.A Great chance for a birdie before the tough run home12Picturesque par 3 with a two tier green.This hole could grace any Open Championship course. Miss the green and you will surely need your sand iron. The green has a number of subtle breaks which can fox the best of putter13The start of a tough finishing stretch.Drive towards the fairway bunkers on the left to give yourself the best angle into the green.The characteristics of this green seem to forever change with a pronounced slope from front to back. Miss the green to the right and away into the woods your ball will go!14Known as the “House Hole” before its demolition!Favour the right side of this sloping fairway to avoid being blocked out by the many trees A one putt is unlikely on the up turned saucer of a green.15Consistently one of the toughest holes on our course. Plays longer than its yardage.A tricky green awaits a well played tee shot. Avoid the gaggle of bunkers short right.16Stroke index 1! A long straight drive between the two deepfairway bunkers leaves an approach shot that always plays at least one club longer than its yardage.The re-configure bunkers about the green complex will gather anything slighly short of yardage into the green. A great hole, a card wrecker!17Another great par 4. You will need good disantce on your tee shot to have a view of the green.The long approach is uphill and you need to add a club to your initial choice. A well protected green, with 3 distict tiers, the putt will be a tricky one.18Home sweet home. A challenging tee shot that favours a slight draw anything leaking right will be swallowed up by the dry ditch.A flat fairway will leave you a long to mid iron into a well protected green, miss the green to the right and you face the prospect of a chip shot infront of a packed Clubhouse!l h
