1A great opening hole that features many of Harry Colt’s renowned features.A well-positioned drive down the left hand side will open up the green for the approach. Avoid missing this green to the right.2A good tee shot is required with the driver which will make the approach significantly easier.The green slopes from left to right and is well guarded with three bunkers.3One of Oxfordshire’s most challenging par 4’s.A good accurate tee shot is required down the right side of the fairway the aim line should be at the bridge from the tee. The approach is played to a tricky two tiered green.6A great Par 4 with a very undulating fairway.A well-positioned drive down the left hand side will open up the green. Be prepared for a long approach shot especially in to the prevailing wind!7A fantastic looking par 4 that requires an accurate tee shot.Be sure to gauge the wind from the tee especially crosswinds. A shot that finds the fairway will set up a good birdie opportunity.8Another strong par 3 which plays semi blind due to a small bush in front of the green. Shorter hitters will have to strategically play this par 5 as bunkers are in play for both the tee shot and the second shot.10The Longest Par 5 on the Golf Course.A good tee shot down the left hand side will open up the hole. Bunkers positioned left and right must be negotiated for the lay-up. Do not miss this green long as there are sharp r11The start of what is known as OGC “Amen Corner”. This beautiful looking par 4 plays downhill and requires an accurate drive.The approach shot also plays downhill however be sure to take enough club to avoid the brook that guards the front of the green.12This picturesque Par 3 was once described by Henry Longhurst “as one of the best holes in English Golf”.A good tee shot must be aimed to the right side of the green to allow the contours to feed the ball back to the hole location. The green slopes significantly from right to left.13This fabulous looking hole that doglegs sharply from left to right requires a well-positioned drive which needs to carry the Lye valley. The longer hitters can cut off more off the14A great risk reward short par 4 where the longer hitters may be tempted to drive the green. For the more conservative play, a long iron or fairway wood will set up a short approach15Another great par 3 which is well guarded left and right by bunkers and run off areas.The perfect tee shot will be played to the right side of the green allowing the ball to gather to the hole on this kidney shaped green.16A challenging par 4 that requires a good drive just inside the left hand bunker as the lay of the land slopes from left to right.A good drive will still leave a tough approach to green which sits above you protected by a false front and a greenside bunker front right. A 4 is a great score here!17The last Par 3 at OGC is played across a valley to a very challenginggreen. Club selection once again is vital in order to find the putting surface, failure to do so will provide a tricky up and down for your par save.18The finishing hole at OGC is a risk reward Par 5 where longer hitters will be looking to get home in two.An accurate drive must be positioned on the right side of the fairway to allow a shot to the green.The green is guarded front, back and to the right by water so playing to the left side of the green is important here for your approach.
