1With its slight dog leg left and its tendency to play into the windthe first hole at RCC will test you from the start. Out of bounds runs the down the entire left side and the right side is protected by trees and a fairway bunker.A drive positioned on the right side of the fairway will provide a better angle to the back to front sloping green.2Number two is a short Par 4 that demands a tee shotthat splits the left and right fairway bunkers. From there, a mid to short iron approach to a small and well protected green will give a definite birdie opportunity.3An uphill and slight dog leg right Par 4requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the trees and fairway bunker.A good drive will still leave a long to mid iron approach to the first of two square greens. The green is protected by bunkers on both sides and a large slope on the back side.4A deceiving Par 3 that tends to play longer due to the prevailing windsTwo well placed bunkers protect the left and right sides of the green.Club selection will be vital as this large green slopes severely back to front. Par is a good score.5With out of bounds left and trees on the rightfinding the fairway is crucial to this long Par 4.A good drive sets up a long to mid iron to a medium size green that is protected by three bunkers and a collection area. Par is a great score.6Our signature hole is the shortest, yet one of the easiest to make a big number.Out of bounds runs the entire left side, a pond protects the front of the green and the Rock Riverawaits shots over the green. Any poor shot will get penalized. Enjoy the view!7Another Par 4 where a tee shotneeds to find the fairway to avoid the Rock River on the left and a pond on the right.A good drive will leave a mid to short iron approach to a severely sloped green. Club selection will be at a premium as approach shots must be below the hole.8Don’t let the yardage fool you, this Par 5 is typically a three shot hole. The Rock River flows the entire left side and a large willow tree guards the right.Long hitters can go for it, but the conservative play is to layup to the top of the hill. This will leave a short approach to a well-protected green9The drive should favor the leftcenter of the fairway to avoid the overhanging trees on the right side of the hole. This will leave a short approach and a good angle to the long and narrow green. Beware, miss hit shots will get penalized by the large oak tree over hanging the green.10A sharp 90 degree dog leg right is flanked by trees on either side of the fairway. The longer hitters can try to cut the corner, but the smart play is to aim at the lone tree at the end of the fairway. The layup should favor the left side of the fairway just shorundulating green. A great birdie opportunity to start the back 9.11This Par 3 requires a long carry over a pot bunker, usually into the prevailing wind. Getting up and down from around the green is no easy task, as the green is slightly elevated from surrounding area.Once the green is reached, putting is the next challenge, as the green slopes back to front and side to side.12An all-around tough Par 4 with little room for error. The fairway slopes left to right towards the pond, so a straight tee shot is needed. This will leave an uphill second to a two tiered green that is protected by a bunker and a steep slope on the right.13The key here is selecting a club that keeps the ball below the holeThis green slopes severely from left to right and back to front, leaving downhill putts nearly impossible. Par is a great score.14The thin fairway is only 30 yards from tree line to tree lineLonger hitters will find the down slope of the fairway which will leave a shortapproach. Favor the right side of the fairway to offer the best angle to the two tiered green.15The longest hole on the course is tree lined and two longbunkers protect both sides of the fairwayThe green is heavily guarded by bunkers short, left and right. A real birdie opportunity coming down the closing stretch.16A straight, uphill Par 4 that is tree lined on both sides.A mid to short iron approach will require accuracy to the secondsquare green on the course. Deep bunkers surrounding will make getting up a down a challenge.17Making par will be a challenge on this long, dog leg right hole.. Bunkers are lurking on both sides of the fairway, so finding the fairway is a must. The second shot will require a long to mid iron to a small green, with a pot bunker protecting the right and a large, deep bunker protecting the left.18The finishing hole demands a straight tee shotto avoid the trees and bunkers that line the fairway.A drive that splits the bunkers will leave a long to mid iron to a green featuring two tiers. The green can be deceiving as there are very subtle breaks that are hard to see.
