1A good tee shot will make this hole much easier, miss the fairway and it’s all you could want and more.Avoid the cavernous bunker protecting the front of the green2An immediate decision off the tee as you have to choose between laying up short of the hazard or attacking the second fairway. A good drive to the second fairway will leave you with an opportunity to go for the green in two.Choosing to layup will leave little more than a pitch and putt for your birdie.3A mid iron will be your play into this green, make sure you take into account the wind and uphill nature of the holeA shot to the right side will bounce left while a shot to the left side of the green will need an extra club to make the putting surface.4A good drive favoring the right side will start this hole off properly.Keep your second short of the bunkers at the end of the fairway and you will be left with a wedge to the green.Make sure you get the ball on the right tier of the green and you should have a good look at birdie.5The key to this hole is the tee shot, the target is the bunker straight through the end of the fairway. Keep it short of that.You will have a mid to short iron left to this large, relatively flat green.6Favor the left side of the fairway with your tee shot to avoid the hazard running up the right hand side.The second shot should be played left of the grouping of bunkers short of the green.Two well played shots will leave you with a wedge for your third and a good birdie opportunity.7A challenging, uphill par 3 in which par is a very good score. Favor the right side of the green with your tee shot as the ball will bounce left and onto the green. Once on the green, pay close attentino to the ridges that will make a two putt a challenge, a 3 is a great score here.8A dog leg right par 4, downhill the entire way. Place the tee shot in the fairway, left of the large fairway bunker.The second shot is all distance control into this very shallow green, the safe play is to the larger, right side of the green9A long par 3 to end the front nine at the Cabin Restaurant. The center of the green is the goal here, nothing more. Three shots and onto the 10th is a victory here.10Nothing fancy on the tee shot, as solid and straight as you can hit it will start you out right. The second shot will be played to the left of the fairway bunker complex at the top of the hill, be careful, it’s blind.Your third shot will favor the left side of the green, away from the hazard. If want to get aggressive at a right pin, make sure you control your distance.11Hole 11 is a par 4 the places the importance on accuracy, not distance. Place your tee shot between the fairway bunkers guarding each side of this hole.You will be left with a short iron into this green guarded left and long by water.A good second should leave a nice birdie opportunity on this relatively flat putting surface.12Dont get lulled into a false sense of security. This short hole plays about a half club down hill and is made even more challenging by a prevailing wind behind the player, a pot buDistance control is crucial here, hit the green and it’s a good opportunity for a duece.13A downhill, dog leg left par 4 setup by a good tee shot. Favor the right side on the tee shot to avoid the penal grass bunker guarding the left.On the second shot, make sure you clear the hazard flanking the front of the green. Once on the putting surface, pay close attention to the green as putting can be tricky14A driver may not be required here, but favor the left side of the fairway on the tee shot.The second shot into this wide, shallow green is all about distance control, hit the right tier and you’ve got a shot at a great birdie.15An uphill, dog leg left par 4. A good tee shot in the fairway will leave a mid to short iron to the green.Avoid the false front and the pot bunker short on the second shot and a birdie putt awaits.16Don’t get lulled to sleep by the lack of “trouble,” this tee shot is all you can handle. Pay attention to club selection as this green is extremely deep, it can be a 3 club d17Keep your tee shot just inside the pine trees on the right hand side, find the fairway and this green can be reachable in two.The second shot just needs to avoid the bunker on the left and there is a chance it runs all the way onto the green.The third shot will be a wedge at most and ideally a good look at birdie.18This dog leg right par 4 wraps up your day on the Cabin course. Driver is not required here, hitting the fairway and avoiding the lake left is the priority.On the second shot, long is better than short. A good second shot can provide a good look at birdie on this closing hole on a green with some decent undulation.
