1The opening hole at Victoria National starts off with a moderate par 4, with only two left-side fairway bunkers guarding the opening tee shot. A straightaway with no water hazards 2As you stroll off the green from #1, set your eyes on the unique water ways of Victoria’s abandoned coal mine. The shorter second hole provides the ultimate risk/reward tee shot:3The first par 5 on the course is not your typical par 5 in today’s game. Even the game’s longest hitters will turn this into a three-shot hole. With waterways down the entire lA second shot layup must hug the left side of the fairway to have a chance at seeing the flag stick for your third shot.A good layout will leave you a tricky pitch shot across the dogleg into the green. Birdies are very rare on this par 5.4Tom Fazio hasn’t beat you down to death with the length just yet. Hole 4 provides yet another risk/reward tee shot for this shorter-than-average par 4.
