1This signature par four is the second hardest hole on the course. It has no bunkers or water, but is protected by a slow incline to a long narrow upside down bowl green. Two good hits will get you on or around the green. The chip and run shot will be your best option just off the green, letting the ball roll up to the hole.2Getting a good drive down the left side of the fairway will set you up for a chance at hitting the green in two.If your drive is on the fairway, you can back your game and hit it over the water leaving a short uphill chip to the green. If your drive isn’t in play, then opt for an iron to lThis is a tricky green that slopes from back to front, don’t leave the ball above the hole, otherwise you will have a fast downhill putt.3Short left to right par four with no hazards, but a narrow green protected by heavy rough.Hit drive left of the big gum on the right side of the fairway. Always hit the green right of centre, as the green slopes hard left.If anything, take one club less on the approach as you don’t want to be pin high left or right on this narrow green.4The wind will determine the club selection of the tee. Downwind it’s three wood or hybrid over the 150m post. Into the wind is driver over or just left of the 150m post. There is no real reward for smashing drive downwind, the green is very long and narrow requiring a full sand wedge or lob wedge into the pin.Keep the approach left side of the green taking on the edge of the bunker. Stay well away from the right rough next to the green, certain bogey or super up and down from there.5Long par three. Do not go left of the green here, two bunkers, 100 year old gums and a valley will destroy your scorecard.Aim at the right edge of the green, or at the hill right of the green. Short right is the bailout spot, if you’re on your game then go at the middle of the green, but the ball haThe green will try to tell you there is break, but most of the time it is a straight putt.6Two options on the tee, bomb drive down the right with a high draw can get you over the mounds and close to the green.Or lay up to the mounds and with a three wood opening the green up for an easy nine iron or wedge approach. The green sits on a hill with a cluster of old gums protecting the rightIf you want a birdie you will need to take on the left edge of the old gums, hitting it in from a good height. This will get the ball sitting soft, feeding it down to the centre of7It’s all about the drive here. Take on the trees along the right side of the rough. In the distance you will see the top of an old dead gum, aim to the right of it and make sure Bigger hitters can go further right, but won’t get much more distance because the fairway feeds the ball left. If you are within range of hitting the green in two, play your second towards the gum on the right well away from the water, and the mounds will feed the ball to the front edge or 8Short par three that can make or break your front nine. The tee shot has to go over the bunker and land right of the centre. The green feeds towards the water with a ridge cut through the middle. Take note of the pin, as it can be almost two clubs more if it is tucked back and into the wind.9A good drive up the left side aiming at the big gum left of the green. The approach is always a club extra, as it is uphill and most of the time into the wind.Flying the ball past the pin here will hold the green, as the green slopes from back to front pushing short shots of the front edge.10Straight forward drive on an elevated tee. There is more room along the left edge of the fairway, which opens up the green a little more.Out of bounds on the left will be in the back of your mind, but a solid hit left of centre will set up the approach.Keep the approach left of any pin position; this will keep the ball away from the right bunker and set up an easy putt.
