Hole 1

Hole Name

From The Tee The opening hole is a relatively short, downhill, slight dogleg to the right.

From The Fairway Fairway bunkers sit on either side of the fairway atop a plateau looking down at the green. Shorter hitters should play the tee ball in between the two bunkers keeping the ball at the top of the hill. Longer players could aim their tee ball over the right bunker and carry the ball down the hill. The second or approach shot can be played short of the green and run on or flown directly onto the gree

On The Green The green is deceptive because it slopes from the front to the back although it appears to do the opposite.

Hole 2

Hole Name

From The Tee This is perhaps the most challenging hole on the course. A long accurate tee ball is essential on this hole.

From The Fairway The fairway slopes severely from right to left with the landing area well guarded by trees on the right and a bunker and trees on the left. Drives should be played toward the right tree line allowing the slope to carry the ball into the center of the fairway. The second shot will play much longer than the yardage indicates since it is uphill to an elevated green. Players unable to hit this green i

On The Green . This will give the player the best chance at getting up and down but watch out for the small bunker guarding the front right of the green.

Hole 3

Hole Name

From The Tee This well designed hole makes you think on every shot. The landing area for the tee shot slopes from right to left and can’t be seen from the tee.

From The Fairway The right tree line should be the target for the drive. The second shot most assuredly is a lay up. Shorter hitters will want to lay up short and to the right of the fairway bunker on the left leaving a shot of 100-150 yards. Longer hitters may want to try and carry the fairway bunker leaving a short pitch to the green.

On The Green The green is well bunkered and has more contour then is often perceived.

Hole 4

Hole Name

From The Tee This hole’s challenge comes from the second shot to the green.

From The Fairway From the tee, shorter hitters will want to avoid the fairway bunkers on the right by playing short or to the left of them. Longer hitters can choose to carry the bunkers setting up a shorter shot to the green. In either case, there is a lot of room to the left, and the right side should be avoided.

On The Green The approach to the green is, as was mentioned, the challenge. The green is guarded by bunkers on the right and the left and has three distinct tiers. It also slopes dramatically from right to left. Getting the ball onto the proper tier, where the hole is located, is a must. Missing the green to the right makes for a difficult up and down.

Hole Name

From The Tee Depending on where the tees and hole are located, this par 3 can play anywhere from 100 to 200+ yards uphill to a treacherous green.

From The Fairway

On The Green As with the 4th hole this green has three distinct tiers and slopes dramatically from right to left. The front half of the green also slopes from back to front. Picking the club that will get you on the proper tier is of utmost importance. When the hole is located on the back right of the green it is very difficult to get your tee shot close, so players should be satisfied with a ball that ends up

Hole 6

Hole Name

From The Tee This is the first dogleg left that players face.

From The Fairway Shorter hitters should avoid the fairway bunker on the left by playing short or to the right of it. Longer hitters can cutoff some of the dogleg and carry the bunker when the conditions are favorable. Off of the tee all players should avoid going left because there is plenty of room to the right. The green is long and narrow and slopes from left to right.

On The Green Players generally want to land their approach shots to the green on the left side and let the ball roll down to the right toward the hole. Missing the green above the hole to the left, however, makes getting up and down nearly impossible.

Hole 7

Hole Name

From The Tee An accurate tee shot sets up this hole.

From The Fairway Bunkers on the right side of the fairway steer players to the left; however, thick rough and trees guard this side. Shorter hitters, in general, can play toward the bunkers without reaching them. Longer hitters need to “thread the needle” between the bunkers on the right and the trees on the left. On The Green This area of the green is very shallow and is protected by a large bunker in front. Hitting the ball the proper distance is critical for this hole location. Once on the green, it is deceptively quick from back to front if you are on the left side.

Hole 8

Hole Name

From The Tee This is the signature hole of the course but you won't realize it off of the tee. The landing area for the drive is very generous as is the area for the lay up short of the pond on the second shot. Don’t get lulled to sleep from these two shots because the third shot to the green will need your full concentration.

From The Fairway

On The Green The right half of the green is nearly surrounded by water forcing players, in most situations, to carry the water to get to the green. Players not wanting to bring the water into play can “bailout” to the left. This, however, brings a large bunker on the left side into play. A shot from this bunker to the green, with water in the background, will get your attention.

Hole Name

From The Tee The finishing hole on the front side can be tricky. As with the 5th hole, depending on where the tee and hole locations are, the hole can vary greatly in length.

From The Fairway

On The Green The green is long and narrow with a lot of contour and well protected by bunkers both right and left. Whenever there is wind, it tends to be magnified on this hole. Players missing the green on the left or long will find it difficult to make par. Par is a possibility for players missing the green short or right.

On The Green The bunkers behind and to the left of the green are easily avoided by playing the approach shot to the right side of the green letting the ball roll to the center. While it looks fairly benign, the challenge for this hole comes on the green. Hole 11

Hole Name

From The Tee This winding par 5 can be played aggressively or conservatively. The beginning of the hole is a dogleg left with a large bunker, thick rough, and trees protecting the left side.

From The Fairway Shorter hitters and those playing conservatively will play to the right side of the fairway. Longer hitters can take a more aggressive route and play to the left over the bunker, but missing the shot too far to the left usually results in a pitchout back to the fairway. For most, the second shot is a lay up to about 150 yards from the green.

On The Green For those wanting to get closer to the green, the fairway narrows, and the player must “thread the needle” between trees on the right and left. The green is one of the flattest on the course but is well protected on the right and left. Missing the green to the right makes for a difficult up and down.

Hole Name

From The Tee A straight forward par 3. What you see is what you get. Players must carry the ball all the way to the green or end up short in the pond.

From The Fairway

On The Green The large circular shaped green is an ample target but is bunkered on the left, right, and rear. The green slopes from back to front making it a difficult two putt when the ball is above the pin. Shots hitting the front of the green can often spin back off onto the fringe.

From The Tee The first in a string of difficult holes, this par 4 is a relatively long dogleg to the right.

From The Fairway From the tee, both long and short hitters will want to play to the left wide of the fairway. A bunker and a row of trees protect the right side.

On The Green All players have to fight the urge to shorten the hole by playing to the right. On the approach, the green is wide and provides a large target, however, it is elevated and shots not reaching the green will roll back down the fairway. The green slopes back to front as it does with hole #12. Two putting from above the pin can be difficult.

Hole Name

From The Tee This is the longest of the par 4’s on the golf course and it plays it. For both long and short hitters,

From The Fairway a long tee shot down the left side of the fairway is a must. Although many players won’t reach the fairway bunker on the right, the right side should be avoided.

On The Green The second shot will be long and slightly uphill and usually plays longer than the yardage indicates. The green is relatively flat but well protected by bunkers on the right, left, and in the rear. Many players play this as a three shot hole and try and one putt for their par.

From The Tee This wonderfully designed dogleg right gives players a variety of options off of the tee.

From The Fairway Fairway bunkers on the right side come into play as can the trees on the left and right. Shorter hitters should play to the left of the bunkers and let the terrain carry the ball to the right. Longer hitters must be careful. Playing their tee ball to the left avoids the fairway bunkers but can bring the trees on the left side into play. Choosing to carry the bunkers shortens the hole but brings th

On The Green The green is elevated and protected by bunkers on the right and left. Approach shots not carrying to the green can roll back down the fairway. The green slopes from back to front but is generally not as fast as one might think.

From The Tee This downhill par 3 can be a test of nerves. With water short and left of the green, players instinctively want to play long and right,

From The Fairway

On The Green however a bunker and thick rough protect this area. Any shot on the green should be considered good, especially if the wind is blowing.

Hole 17

Hole Name

From The Tee One of the two dogleg left par 4’s on the course, this hole can really challenge the shorter hitter.

From The Fairway With trees on the left stretching all the way to the green, shorter hitters will have to aim at the fairway bunkers on the right.

On The Green This makes their approach shot longer but will avoid being blocked out by the trees on the left. Longer hitters can aim slightly left of bunkers on the right but should not try and cut the corner of the dogleg. Approach shots to this well protected multilevel green require accuracy. Players must try and land their ball on the same level as the hole position or risk three putting.

Hole Name

From The Tee The finishing hole for the course is a long and uphill par 5 that can wear you down.

From The Fairway The landing area for the tee shot is fairly generous but the ball may end up in an awkward side hill, downhill lie. Players should aim down the right side of the fairway off the tee to avoid the bunker on the left. Due to the slope of the fairway the ball should work its way back to the center. Although the second shot is long and uphill, accuracy may be more important than distance for this lay u

On The Green Both sides of the fairway are tree lined and sloped from left to right. On the third and approach shot, only the flag may be visible. The green is very deep so determining the hole location is very important. Once on, the green is quicker from back to front than one might think.
