From The Tee The Stromford......As always the opening tee-shot is very important. With Stromford Brook running in front of the tees,
From The Fairway
On The Green out of bounds to the right and trees to the left, a tee shot slightly right of centre would be preferable. This will give you a clear line into the green and a chance of a nice par four to begin with.
From The Tee Hill Top.....Beware of the two hidden bunkers starting at 230 yards from the white tee which have a tendency to catch any ball drifting to the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot will contend with Stromford Brook again and need to carry to an elevated green. Always plays longer than the yardage suggests.
From The Tee Long.....The hardest hole on the course and as the name suggests,
From The Fairway it lends itself to the capabilities of the big hitters. A good drive down the right side of the fairway is essential if you
On The Green want any chance of a clear shot to the challenging two tier green with your second. Many would be happy to walk away with a bogey on this hole
From The Tee Short Leg.....Redesigned in the winter of 2012/13, this tree lined par three is an attractive hole surrounded by three new bunkers that are just waiting to grab any ball that strays left or right.
From The Fairway A generously sized green can lead to a long putt if you you don't make the right club selection off the tee.
From The Tee Pines.....Try not to be intimidated by the rushing waters of the River Mersey and out of bound to the right of the tee and don't be tempted to compensate too much, as bunkers are waiting on the left just for good measure
From The Fairway This is one of the widest fairways on the course and any ball that hits it should have a straight forward shot into the green.
From The Fairway Traps.....As the name suggests, two strategically placed fairway bunkers can catch you out here.
On The Green From the tee they look the same size, however the one on the left is smaller, closer and easier to get out of. With the green sloping front to back, be careful with your club selection for your shot in.
From The Tee The Burn.....Not unheard of for the big hitters to try and carry the 270 yards to the green, but Stromford Brook returns to catch out those miss hit or over ambitious attempts.
From The Fairway
On The Green A mid iron from the tee should leave a nice short iron or wedge into the most undulating green on the course.
