From The Fairway Higher handicappers may be well advised to play their tee shots short of trouble and pitch and putt for their par.

From The Tee A slight dog-leg right - the marker post is a good line or if you are a long hitter the mound to its right.

From The Fairway The approach has to be accurate to this pin, especially if it is on the back portion of the green when you may need to take more club to get close to the pin. Fairway bunkers on the left.

From The Tee A good birdie opportunity for long hitters.

From The Fairway If the wind is in the right direction they can take on the bunkers to reach this par 5 in two! Otherwise lay up and play as a 3 shotter.

On The Green Mortals should play their second up the left side to avoid the bunker on the right but lay up of the bunker on the left. The approach needs care as there is a tier near the front of the green that will make putting difficult if you finish on the wrong level.

From The Tee An accurate drive is the key to this hole - you need to avoid the hollows on the right and not run out of room on the left -

From The Fairway

On The Green so aim at the marker post or just left of it and you will have a flat approach to the green. Take enough club for your approach, especially if a westerly is blowing.

From The Tee A drive down the right is required here with a chance to get one back here if the wind is behind you.

From The Fairway The green is two tiered and if the pin is on the back make sure you have enough club for your approach.

On The Green If you are not going for it in two it is a good idea to leave your second short of the bunkers for an easier approach up the length of the green. Second shot is key - do you lay up short of bunkers or go for it? Grassy hollow to the right of the green will collect the ball but not a bad play.

From The Tee A long par 3 where good club selection is essential. If the pin is at the back be sure to take enough club -

From The Fairway

On The Green the percentage play is to fade the ball in from the left and this will give you the best chance of avoiding the many bunkers that encircle the green.

From The Fairway The tee shot should be played to favour the left side of the fairway to leave a good view of the green.

On The Green The second too should favour the left, leaving the best angle into the green for your approach shot straight up the green avoiding the bunkers either side.
