From The Fairway For the safe play find the fairway and a good approach shot is needed to hold the green, or for our longer hitters at 266 yards this can be a risk, reward hole. A potential birdie or a card wrecker, you decide
On The Green Be aware of the bank that protects the green to the sides and back and the solitary bunker that is also waiting to add to the challenge

Hole Name
From The Tee A super par 3 over the River Fender.
From The Fairway A tricky hole to get close to because of bunkers to the front, right and back. Out of bounds runs to the left, so correct club selection is paramount.

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a difficult par 4 with out of bounds to the left and right.
From The Fairway Such a tough hole so early in the round, especially considering the tee shot with the tree line down the left and a fairway bunker on the right.
On The Green Even after a good tee shot, it will still leave a tricky long iron to an inviting green. An uphill putt on this hole is advantageous

From The Tee A superb hole, especially off the competition tee. There is out of bounds to the right and a plantation to the left.
From The Fairway A drive to the left of the fairway will leave an easier approach to a green that is well protected by a ditch and bunkers to the front and left.

Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Possibly the best dog leg Par 5 in the area.
From The Fairway Off the white tees, it is a daunting hole and an accurate tee shot up the right side will give you the best chance of negotiating the well guarded dog-leg. An inviting uphill green awaits,
On The Green that subtlety can account for many a three putt. Although the right hand bunker is like a magnet to golf balls. A good birdie opportunity for the above average golfer.

From The Tee
From The Fairway A plantation protects the left side of the fairway, whilst trees surrounding the practice ground come into play on the right.
On The Green A straight drive is required to leave a pitch onto a raised green, but beware of the monster bunker nicknamed "Jaws" that protects the front of this green.

Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 4 usually into the wind.
From The Fairway Off the back tees, this is a monster, with the river to the left and trees skirting the practice ground to the right. It is very easy to find yourself in trouble and in need of a chip back into play. Achieve a par here and you will be on for a good round.

From The Tee This stroke index 4 hole is as tough a golf hole as you will play,
From The Fairway particularly off the white tees, into the prevailing wind. An accurate tee shot is need to avoid a long second shot from the left, or the water hazard to the right. Finding the fairway still leaves a difficult
On The Green approach to the green, where you must avoid the water hazard on the left and the bunker to the right.

From The Tee A tricky and under estimated par 3 which features a small pond in front of the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green A small but inviting green is the target, but beware as it is closely guarded by numerous bunkers.

From The Tee The 10th will require all of your attention to negotiate the narrow gap in the trees ahead
From The Fairway A generous fairway awaits but this is a long hole
On The Green A lengthy second shot is needed, but the green is guarded by a bunker either side. You will settle for a four on this hole any day of the week.

From The Tee A good par 4.
From The Fairway A drive down the left hand side of the fairway is required as there is out of bounds on the right.
On The Green This will give you the best view of this uphill green, but watch for the 2 bunkers, left and right, that guard it.

From The Tee This is a lovely par 3 with bunkers protecting the green on either side
From The Fairway
On The Green It is sometimes advantageous to take an extra club to ensure you reach, but beware of the hollow that runs immediately in front of your target.

From The Tee This is another long par 4,
From The Fairway particularly into the prevailing wind. A good drive left of centre will give you the best view of this uphill green, which again is protected by several bunkers left and right.

From The Tee Stroke index 18 but not as easy as it first appears
From The Fairway
On The Green Keep away from the course boundary on the left hand side and you will be rewarded with a simple pitch onto a long green, but don't stray too far to the right as there is a small plantation. Getting close to the pin is imperative for a good chance of a birdie.

From The Tee This is the longest hole on the course.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good birdie opportunity is available for those who can hold their nerve and avoid the out of bounds left. The green is in a bowl and precision golf is required to hold the green.

Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee This is our signature hole.
From The Fairway It is a spectacular par 3 which requires carry over two stretches of the River Birket. The difficulty does not end there, the water continues to be in play all the way down the left side and an accurate iron selection is needed to get on or close to the green.
On The Green Hit it long and you will be in deep trouble on grass banks that surround the boundaries of the hole, anything wayward may end up in one of the 4 bunkers that further protect the green. The green is challenging but readable, leaving an uphill putt is preferable. Walking off with a par on this hole is always welcome.

From The Fairway A narrow fairway with a very difficult, small green,
On The Green well protected by deep bunkers. Getting on and staying on is the prO-Blem, the small green being a challenge to any player.

Hole Name
From The Tee A dog-leg with danger running all the way up the left.
From The Fairway A great finishing hole. Land your ball to the left of the fairway, to leave an easier approach to the green.
On The Green Anything too far right and you are in danger of being blocked out from the green by the small copse of trees skirting the back of the 17th. The long-ish green holds the ball well, but beware the many bunkers protecting it.
