Hole Name Sand Hills

From The Tee With the widest fairway on the course, the second hole is still one of the most difficult.

From The Fairway Make sure to account for the elevation change as the approach typically plays one or two clubs longer than the average. Bunkers short and right must be avoided.

On The Green

Hole 3

Hole Name Flat Top

From The Tee Par is always a great score on this downhill par 3.

From The Fairway Although the green is relatively flat, players missing this well-guarded putting surface will likely have a tough time getting up and down.

On The Green Take one club less off the tee, knowing that missing short is ok.

Hole 4

Hole Name Thompson

From The Tee A long drive down the right side will give you the best chance to attack this par five.

From The Fairway Navigating the cross bunkers and placing your second shot on the right portion of the fairway is critical when attacking the many different hole locations on this complex green site.

On The Green

Hole 5

Hole Name Plateau

From The Tee Tee shots on this difficult par four need to played to an upper plateau avoiding the long-fescue on the right and the deep hollow on the left.

From The Fairway Second shots favouring short and left will most likely kick towards the green and leave you with a good chance at birdie.

On The Green

Hole 6

Hole Name Short

From The Tee The shortest hole on the course, this relatively-simple downhill par-3 requires just a short iron or wedge to reach and presents players with their best opportunity to write a “2” on their scorecard.

From The Fairway Miss the green in the wrong spot though, and you might be lucky to leave with par.

On The Green

Hole Name Abandon Well

From The Tee A classic par five. The seventh presents a demanding tee shot through a saddle fairway.

From The Fairway An aggressive second shot down the right sight of the fairway will reward you with the best angle to attack this very undulating green.

On The Green Be wary of the many fairway bunkers.

Hole 8

Hole Name Dell

From The Tee Use the natural contours to your advantage on this tricky par 3.

From The Fairway Players will want to land their tee shots short and left of the green and allow the slope to funnel the ball towards the hole.

On The Green A miss to the right may have players counting a bogey or worse.

Hole 9

Hole Name Valley

From The Tee A downhill right to left dogleg that places a premium on accuracy.

From The Fairway Tee shots played down the right side will feed to the center leaving you with a short approach to a difficult green that slopes severely from right to left.

On The Green

Hole 10

Hole Name Poplars

From The Tee The short par four tenth could be the most challenging at Blackhawk.

From The Fairway A fairway metal or long iron is all you need to position yourself in the fairway, leaving you with a short approach to a small, shallow green.

On The Green Be precise. Danger looms if you are short or long.

Hole 11

Hole Name Peninsula

From The Tee Tee it high and let it fly. The eleventh hole at Blackhawk is a spectacular par 5 with tremendous elevation change.

From The Fairway Once in the fairway, approach shots should favour the left side to avoid trouble short and right, and give you the best opportunity for a birdie.

On The Green

Hole Name Gibraltar

From The Tee The longest par 3 on the course, the twelfth hole at Blackhawk is a beautiful par 3 with a long forced carry over water.

From The Fairway Tee shots should favor the right side of the green to utilize the natural contours and collect the ball to the hole. Par is always a good score here.

On The Green

Hole Name Escarpment

From The Tee A long, difficult par four from start to finish.

From The Fairway Tee shots must be played left or right to avoid the collection of bunkers in the center of the fairway.

On The Green From this position, you will be left with a lengthy approach to a large, contoured green.

Hole Name Hillocks

From The Tee

From The Fairway The fourteenth hole is an underrated par four with a challenging tee shot that shapes from left to right. Once in the fairway, approach shots should avoid large collection areas short and left, as this will make it extremely difficult to get up and down.

Hole Name Long

From The Tee Appropriately named “Long”, the fifteenth is our longest hole on the course. It will take two of your best shots to get home.

From The Fairway

On The Green The prudent play is to swallow your pride and lay up short of the cross bunkers, leaving yourself a full shot into this two-tiered green.

Hole Name Deception

From The Tee Try not to get caught up in the beauty of one of the signature holes at Blackhawk, as this tee shot over water commands all of your attention.

From The Fairway

On The Green The shallow green requires precise distance control if you are to hit it in regulation.

Hole Name Crump

From The Tee A long, tree-lined par four that typically plays into the prevailing wind. Tee shots down the right side will allow the best angle of attack.

From The Fairway Approaching this green from the right is key in avoiding the deep greenside bunkers.

Hole Name Hame Noo

From The Tee The home hole presents many challenges off the tee, but the money shot is with your second.

From The Fairway To avoid the series of greenside bunkers, approach shots should favour the left hillside and allow the natural contours to guide your ball to hole and closer to the cash.
