Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A properly placed drive avoids
From The Fairway 2 large fairway bunkers on the right with a sharp left-to-right dogleg. A shot further right finds out of bounds, along with a row of pines, to carry over if one is lucky enough to stay in bounds.
On The Green The green is deceivably sloped back to front, challenging the best of putters to begin their round.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a tempting long par 5 dog-leg left.
From The Fairway The fairway curls left about 150 yards from the tee into a long gentle dog-leg.
On The Green Right is out of bounds and left just off the fairway are pines from the tee to near the green. Just short of the small green is the flowing Swabia Creek.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A fairly long Par 4, uphill dog-leg right to a double level
From The Fairway green which will prO-Bably create numerous putting prO-Blems. The fairway is rather wide and a tee shot up the middle will still leave the player with a good medium iron to the green.
On The Green A shot up the right side of the fairway will shorten the second shot but the player must then cope with a large fairway bunker and a high second shot over a cluster of trees which guard the green on the right side of the dog-leg.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A long drive past a fairway trap on the right will leave a long iron to a very narrow, slightly elevated green.
On The Green The second shot is extremely demanding with two brooks to cross and a trap on the right and a series of mounds on the left. Out of bounds on the right side 80 yards short of the green presents another hazard.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee A good par 3 usually played into prevailing wind which will create prO-Blems with an errant tee shot.
From The Fairway The green is flanked on both sides by large willow trees which protrude over the green to an extent.
On The Green And the creek winds its way directly in front of the green and in the rear. The green has a large hog back which runs the entire length making putting difficult.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Short but demanding.
From The Fairway The drive must be straight and fairly long for a short iron to the plateau green.
On The Green A drive in the left rough makes the second shot extremely hazardous over a stand of tall pines. The second shot must carry over 3 well-placed bunkers just short of the green. Shot over the green is out of bounds.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A fairly short par 4 dog-leg right with a large stand of pines on the right and a row of pines on the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green A large walnut tree on the right side with a bunker directly opposite on the left presents a narrow landing area for a well placed drive. A good drive leaves a player with a medium iron to a small green trapped front and right.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The most exacting par 3 hole on the course.
From The Fairway A long iron or 4 wood to an extremely narrow green trapped both right and left confronts the player on this great par 3.
On The Green A shot on the right just short of this green kicks right into a large gaping trap. A tee short and left bounds into a large trap thus the premium is to hit this green.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A strong par 4 requiring a 220 yard carry over a large sand trap
From The Fairway that extends from the left side of the fairway 35 yards into the center.
On The Green A tee shot right could go through the dog-leg into a stand of pines lining the right side. The green has a relatively flat putting surface and is trapped both left and right.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging dog-leg left requiring a well placed tee shot cutting
From The Fairway over a large pine on the left and two large bunkers on the right. A hooked shot could find its way into a large stand of pines on the left. The landing area has steep grass mounds on the left and two large fairway bunkers on the right.
On The Green The shot to the green must carry over the creek directly in front of a plateau green with a grass hollow on the right, bunker and mounds on the left.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the few straight par 4’s on the course with trees and
From The Fairway a fairway bunker along the left rough, along with additional bunkering on the right rough and greenside.
On The Green A second shot requires a medium to long iron which must land on the putting surface because the green is trapped both left and right.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A shorty with traps in front, on the left side and rear.
From The Fairway A short pitch shot carrying over a deep quarry from an elevated tee to a very small
On The Green green which is extremely difficult to putt presents itself to the player. The hole at first glance looks simple but will prO-Bably create many prO-Blems to the over-confident player.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A sharp dog-leg over a quarry with pines both left and right off the tee.
From The Fairway A long hitter may attempt to gamble with a long tee shot to clear the trees on the left to shorten his second shot but must carry at least 230 yards with a slight draw to reach this par 5 in two. A possible birdie hole with a long well-placed shots.
On The Green
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The pride of Brookside in the eyes of many who play this hole.
From The Fairway A great par 4 dog-leg right which requires a long drive favoring the left side of a narrow fairway.
On The Green The second shot, to a small green protected by a large maple tree and series of grass mounds will have to be a four wood or extremely long iron.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee A dog-leg left that again requires a well-placed tee shot.
From The Fairway A tee shot left of center finds the player with a shot over tall trees to a green trapped on the right.
On The Green A tee shot right leaves the player with a medium iron to this long narrow green. The premium on this hole again is on the drive.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee An excellent driving hole with a premium on direction.
From The Fairway A hooked tee shot is certain to land in a large stand of pines and a drive right is out- of- bounds.
On The Green A good drive leaves the the player with a medium iron to a green trapped both left and right.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee This short par 3 is a deceptive hole and could give the players grief.
From The Fairway
On The Green Usually played into a prevailing wind club selection presents a prO-Blem. A medium iron to a small green trapped front, right and left makes par difficult for an errant shot.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A great finishing hole which requires two well placed shots to reach this closing beauty.
From The Fairway A long tee shot is required to reach the corner of this tree-lined dog-leg right hole.
On The Green The very large green provides an easy target, however, it is surrounded by bunkers with a large pond on the right side. A prevailing head wind on your second shot with the target surrounded by hazards can easily decide the match on this finsihing hole.
