Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A demanding Par 4 that requires an accurate tee short.
From The Fairway The left hand side of the fairway is lined with trees. A bank runs up the right hand side of the fairway hiding a red staked ditch.
On The Green A fairway bunker also waits for wayward tee shots. The green slopes towards the clubhouse and is, itself, guarded by two bunkers.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A very narrow fairway with numerous hazards demands an accurate tee shot.
From The Fairway A water hazard runs along the right side of the fairway and also across the fairway. Another water hazard runs down the left hand side of the fairway with Out of Bounds beyond.
On The Green The green is extremely tricky and is protected by a bunker and a small pond.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The third hole is a challenging par 4 dogleg. The tee is situated above the second green.
From The Fairway The tee shot descends down to a bunker guarded green.
On The Green The second shot requires a short iron played with a lot of control to hold a very fast putting surface.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The hole measures 177yards and requires a mid to long iron approach to a very narrow green from back to front.
On The Green A bunker is situated to the right hand side and trees are waiting to collect the bolder tee shot.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The 5th hole is a straightforward par 4 with a wide fairway protected by trees left and right.
On The Green A good tee shot will leave a short iron to a generous green. Four greenside bunkers guard the green.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The 7th is a slight downhill right to left dog leg.
From The Fairway There is an oak tree in the middle of the fairway which needs to be carried with the tee shot.
On The Green In range on the second shot is a cross fairway ditch although longer hitters may be able to reach the green.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Players should aim to clear the stand of trees facing them leaving a long uphill shot to a small green.
From The Fairway There is safety to the left of the trees but an extremely long second shot awaits.
On The Green Not the best hole to test the theory that trees are 90% air!
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Although short, the green sits 60 feet higher than the tee area. Too short a shot will leave a difficult chip shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green The incline is very steep and care should be taken when climbing to the green.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The 10th hole is a steep climb of 357 yards to a very small green.
From The Fairway Out of bounds runs all the way up the right hand side while gorse and trees are lined on the left side of the fairway.
On The Green A small ridge is situated in the middle of the fairway. Only the bigger hitters can take this out of play.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee A medium to long iron is needed from the tee as accuracy is more important than distance on this hole.
From The Fairway This should leave a small to mid iron approach to a small green.
On The Green A small ditch runs through the middle of the fairway 20 yards from the green.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 3 requires a long iron or fairway wood from the tee.
From The Fairway The green is very generous in size with no hazards to defend it.
On The Green The tee is elevated and judging the distance and length is key to this hole.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee The 13th hole is straight par 4 measuring 278 yards
From The Fairway Trees are very dominant on both sides of the fairway. A large sand trap is situated 10 yards short of the green while two bunkers guard against a misjudged approach.
On The Green
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The Cotton Hole a tricky little par 3 guarded by mature trees.
From The Fairway A shot of 100 yards or so demands accuracy to find the raised green.
On The Green The green is regarded as the most difficult to read on the entire course.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot on the 15th requires a lot of attention. The tee shot must avoid the large oak tree on the left.
From The Fairway Too far right and the second shot may be blocked out by the conifers.
On The Green Aim to get the drive to the bottom of the ridge but again, too far left and the next large oak will block out your second shot.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The sixteenth hole is another par 5 which is the opposite of the previous hole. In this case it’s slightly uphill and the dogleg is left to right.
From The Fairway Another tree is strategically placed on the corner of the dogleg and only the longest of hitters are able to carry this especially as it is normally into the prevailing wind.
On The Green Out of bounds are left and right off the tee. Bunkers sit at the bottom of a severely sloping green.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A longish carry over the 16th green is required so golfers must ensure that following golfers are not in range of a hooked (for a right hander) tee shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green There are no bunkers on this hole but the green needs care as shots tend to run down the raised right hand side of the green and over the bank on the left.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the hardest tee shots on the course so a real card breaker if the match is tight.
From The Fairway
On The Green An elevated tee looks over a new green which is protected across the front by a cross ditch, on the left by out of bounds and on the right by the Dell.
