From The Tee One of the hardest opening holes in the south east. Measuring 467 from the back tees, this hole requires a long drive and a long iron/wood to a right to left sloping green

On The Green After a tough opening hole, it doesn’t get much easier. This par 3 plays shorter than its yardage but it is well guarded by three bunkers. Beware as the out of bounds runs down the left and continues round the back of the green.

From The Fairway This is the first and shortest of the three par fives at Chigwell, but by no means is it the easiest. The hole is a slight dog leg from left to right and requires a straight tee shot as the hole is protected by trees down the right and oob down the left. From the fairway long hitters will find this green in range, otherwise a positional lay-up is required over the fairway bunkers.

From The Fairway This hole offers no bail out area off the tee. It is essential you hit the fairway here to make your par. It’s only 363 yards from the back tee, so you can afford to hit 3 wood to give yourself the best chance of hitting the fairway.

From The Tee Position is the key on this hole. Aim your tee shot towards the oak on the left as the ball will feed round onto the fairway. You should only be left with a short approach giving you a good opportunity to make a birdie.

From The Fairway The final hole on the front nine provides another opportunity to make a birdie before you head into the back nine. However this is only possible if you can miss the out of bounds and bunkers down the left side. A 3 wood is a safe option of ensuring a fairway hit.
