From The Tee From the tee, aim for the house ahead with the white gable end and stay away from the copse of trees on the right

From The Tee Your tee shot should be a little to the left as it will run left to right on the fairway
From The Fairway The ditch crossing diagonally makes it a longer carry if you go right
On The Green But short or long, you will be left a blind shot to the green. If the ground is hard, you could get your second shot just over the hill and left, it should run onto the green. This is a tricky hole.

From The Tee Definitely the hardest hole on the course.
From The Fairway The two fairway bunkers are poised to catch the longer hitters from the tee. The fairway runs from right to left so the best line is towards the right hand bunker.
On The Green A tip on your second shot - it's further than it looks

From The Fairway Again like the fifth, the second shot is further than it looks due to the dip in the middle of the fairway which is well short of the green

From The Fairway It's downhill all the way and is a short par 4 but needs the utmost respect on your approach to the green
On The Green Beware the steep downhill slope onto the putting surface which can kick your ball through the green in the summer.

From The Tee Aim your tee shot for the clubhouse and hit it well, uphill all the way. No hidden hazards on the tee shot.

On The Green There is a bunker on the left to capture very bad approach shots and there is a bunker to the right hand edge of the green. A good hole to par to set you up with confidence for the back nine.

On The Green Aim for the marker at the back of the green. Beware in summer, the greenslopes away from you, right to left and can be quite fast, aim your approach to the right of the flag

From The Tee This is a tricky Par 4 with a beautiful view of the Yarrow Valley and Chorley in the distance. The tee shot is better kept to the left hand side of the fairway as the trees on the right can come into play for the longer hitters of the ball
From The Fairway On your approach to the green the fairway runs violently left to right so if you're planning to run onto the green, aim for the left hand bunker and drop it short
On The Green . If aiming for the flag, play it high and pitch on the green.

From The Tee A blind teeshot uphill, aim for the marker post in the centre of the fairway
From The Fairway Left hand side of the fairway opens up the green a little bit more.
On The Green For your second shot the green is fairly narrow with bunkers to left and right. The hole tends to play longer than it's yardage hence Stroke index 2.

From The Tee A good tee shot will provide a good view of the green but is still out of reach. Beware the copse of trees on the right which can trap a pushed second shot.
From The Fairway The fairway runs left to right on your tee shot with out of bounds down the right. Again keep to the left of the fairway if you can. The ditch on the right is a water hazard and is not out of bounds
On The Green A wide green but runs sharply left to right.

From The Fairway The fairway bunker on the left can catch a good drive down the middle
On The Green Approach the green to the right due to the bunker protecting the left hand side of the green.

From The Fairway The ideal line for your drive is just to the right of the fairway bunker

From The Fairway The second shot is blind but the ideal line is down the left hand side of the fairway and keep it straight
On The Green Although trouble on either side of the fairway it is quite wide. Big hitters can get on in 2 in the summer but 2 good strikes can get you close enough to the green.
