Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The left fairway bunker is a good line to ensure a middle/left position off the tee.
On The Green This will give the best view and line into this tricky double green. Don't stray too far left as water comes into play.Play your second with care and check your yardage and pin position so as to avoid putting up from one of the gullies.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Lay-up short of the right hand fairway bunker.
On The Green Second is played uphill and judging distance can be difficult. Cannot miss the green left! Downwind bigger hitters can go for the green.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Good short hole which requires an accurate short-mid iron depending on the wind.
On The Green The hole plays downhill and generally into the breeze that further makes correct club choice difficult. If you miss the green you face a delicate recovery shot.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Left off the tee keeps you away from the large fairway bunkers and will give the best line for the second shot.
On The Green Mounding on left may leave you with an awkward lie for 2nd or 3rd shot. Key is to set up for the shot into the green which needs to be carried at least 10 metres into the green to avoid the false front. Out of bounds guards the entire right side of the hole and horseshoes around the green
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee The best line off the tee is to the right of the left hand bunker.
From The Fairway Mounding all the way along the left hand side of the fairway may compromise your approach so key is to keep it straight.
On The Green The green is long and narrow which makes judging the 2nd shot difficult. Play for the middle of the green to be safe.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The right side of this wide fairway will give a slightly better angle for the approach into this large green.
On The Green Out of bounds protect the entire right hand side and new moundings protect the left. Make sure to avoid the large bunker in front of the green. Play too safe into the green and you may be left with a long putt.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The shortest of our par 3s although normally played into the prevailing easterly wind.
On The Green An accurately played short iron, making sure to stay under the hole, should set up a realistic birdie chance. The sides of the green slope inwards giving any slightly off line shot the chance to hold the green. Avoid the bunkers that surround the green.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Once over the hill slopes will kick the a drive that is too far left further left into trouble so middle/right is the better line off the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green Any approach short will roll back down the slope fronting the green so be sure to play the full yardage.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The right hand side of the fairway is favoured here to allow the best angle for the approach shot. Large moundings protect the left hand side of the fairway.
On The Green Stream is in play for the longer hitters. Impossible to reach the green from the left hand fairway bunker. Bunkers short make the green appear closer so be sure to check the yardage.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Must thread the tee shot through the gap or lay up short of the hazard protecting either side of the fairway.
On The Green Lake on right now in play at about 220 meters so care needed. Then negotiate safely either short, between or past the two fairway bunkers. 2nd shot protected by new mounding on left hand side of fairway. A gully short of the green makes the green appear closer.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Must avoid the two deep bunkers guarding either side of this undulating fairway.
On The Green The green is very large and sloping and demands attention. Off the championship tees this is a very testing hole.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A reachable par 5 for the long hitters if you manage to avoid the bunkers off the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green However the entrance to the green is narrow and guarded on either side by bunkers and out of bounds placing a premium on the approach shot. If laying up do the sums to ensure you lay up short of the hazards.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a demanding hole if played from the championship tees.
From The Fairway The hole generally plays downwind so your tee shot must avoid the bunkers on the right and the pot bunker in the middle of the fairway.
On The Green The green is well protected and demands a solid accurate approach.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Centre of the green is a safe play ensuring you avoid the water hazard down the left hand side however too far right from the pin and a 3 putt is realistic.
From The Fairway
On The Green Strong par 3 with a large undulating green.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee A straight drive is needed here as the water hazard runs the length of the hole on the left and bunkers protect the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Check the pin position and your yardage for the approach as the green is two tiered.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A long demanding uphill par 4/5.
From The Fairway The fairway is sloping and undulating making for a long and difficult 2nd shot.Avoid missing the green to the right or face a difficult blind recovery shot.
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Important to avoid the fairway bunkers and native grasses off the tee. A fairway wood or long iron is the wise play.
On The Green The bigger hitters can take on the hazard in favourable conditions. Approach plays into a breeze and uphill so can be a full club longer.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Thread the gap off the tee on this short finishing hole.
From The Fairway Important to find the fairway to leave a short iron approach into a well protected green. Out of bounds guards the back of the green.
