From The Tee The first of 5 par 3s. On a clear day you can see 4 counties from here.
From The Fairway Playing just over 200 yards downhill, you can hit anything from driver to wedge depending on the infamous Cold Ashby wind. Get your club choice right as you don’t want to be long.
From The Tee A tee shot down the right side of the fairway is ideal as it slopes from right to left.
From The Fairway
On The Green There is a pond on the left that can’t be seen from the tee. An approach shot coming from the right is favoured as there is an out of bounds left of the long but narrow green.
From The Tee A tough par 3 to close out the front 9. Anything long and you can be faced with a tricky quick downhill chip.
From The Fairway
On The Green Miss the green left and you may catch the new bunker. If you hit this 2 tier green you will still be faced with a tough 2 putt to save par.
From The Tee A driveable par 4 to open the back 9 but beware of cars entering and leaving the course.
From The Fairway A drive up the left side of the fairway will kick your ball back towards the centre. A bunker short and right awaits those with wrong club.
From The Tee A short but tricky par 5 awaits. Players need to be aware on the road because of cars entering and leaving the course,
From The Fairway leaving your tee short of it may be your best option. Longer hitters can clear the road but 3 small ponds and thick rough on the right awaits those that get it wrong.
On The Green The green itself sits in a bowl which kicks the ball in from both sides. A ditch and bunker on the right are waiting for those who come up short.
From The Tee A short par 4 awaits on the 14th tee.
From The Fairway The longer hitters can reach the slightly hidden green behind the willows.
On The Green A new bunker short left may change a few minds. In which case an iron to the bottom of the dip will still leave you a tricky 2nd shot over the willows.
From The Tee After looking at the view for the last time you are eventually left with a long downhill par 5.
From The Fairway
On The Green Favour the right side off the tee as the ball will always kick left. Then you could be left with a choice either go for the green in 2 or layup but beware, go too far left and you are in the pond or too far right and you could be blocked out by the trees.
