Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Short par 4 opening hole which can be reached by the longer hitters
From The Fairway
On The Green . Favour an approach from the left side of the fairway to a two tier green.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Medium length par 4 up hill. Aim just inside the tree line on the left as
From The Fairway the fairway slopes left to right once over the first rise.
On The Green Try to leave your approach short of the flag as the green slopes from back to front.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The first of 5 par 3s. On a clear day you can see 4 counties from here.
From The Fairway Playing just over 200 yards downhill, you can hit anything from driver to wedge depending on the infamous Cold Ashby wind. Get your club choice right as you don’t want to be long.
On The Green
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee A tee shot down the right side of the fairway is ideal as it slopes from right to left.
From The Fairway
On The Green There is a pond on the left that can’t be seen from the tee. An approach shot coming from the right is favoured as there is an out of bounds left of the long but narrow green.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee A dogleg right par 4. A drive down the left side will give you a good sight of the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green You will still be faced with a tricky approach as bunkers guard the right and left side of the green.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This par 3 looks straight forward. Play with caution as anything long and left
From The Fairway will leave a tough chip left to save par. Anything right can catch the trees and short will catch the bunker.
On The Green
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The first of the par 5s a tough uphill 500 yard hole.
From The Fairway To make It tougher it normally plays into the wind. The driving range left is out of bounds so a drive right of the 2
On The Green big trees will leave you with a shot straight up the hill. Your approach will need to be aimed left as everything slopes right.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 4 awaits you on the 8th tee, once you have got your breath back.
From The Fairway The long hitters should aim down the right side of the fairway which could leave you with a short second.
On The Green An approach landing short and right could bounce left onto the kidney shaped green.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough par 3 to close out the front 9. Anything long and you can be faced with a tricky quick downhill chip.
From The Fairway
On The Green Miss the green left and you may catch the new bunker. If you hit this 2 tier green you will still be faced with a tough 2 putt to save par.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee A driveable par 4 to open the back 9 but beware of cars entering and leaving the course.
From The Fairway A drive up the left side of the fairway will kick your ball back towards the centre. A bunker short and right awaits those with wrong club.
On The Green
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee A short but tricky par 5 awaits. Players need to be aware on the road because of cars entering and leaving the course,
From The Fairway leaving your tee short of it may be your best option. Longer hitters can clear the road but 3 small ponds and thick rough on the right awaits those that get it wrong.
On The Green The green itself sits in a bowl which kicks the ball in from both sides. A ditch and bunker on the right are waiting for those who come up short.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough par 3 exposed on top of a hill. Left is out of bounds,
From The Fairway right you're at the bottom of a hill, long you are in deep rough and short you are in a bunker. A bogey 4 here is always accepted.
On The Green
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A tee shot down the left side of the fairway will allow
From The Fairway your ball to kick right from the sloping fairway. Be aware there is out of bounds if you go too far left.
On The Green An approach to the middle of the green is safe as out of bounds awaits anything left or a tough chip awaits if you miss it right.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee A short par 4 awaits on the 14th tee.
From The Fairway The longer hitters can reach the slightly hidden green behind the willows.
On The Green A new bunker short left may change a few minds. In which case an iron to the bottom of the dip will still leave you a tricky 2nd shot over the willows.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The ideal line off the tee is between the centre of
From The Fairway the fairway and the hedge on the left. The approach shot is tricky as
On The Green a slightly raised front part of the green can often lead to players leaving their shot short of the green.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest hole on course. Club selection is important here
From The Fairway
On The Green . Hitting the green with the wrong club could leave you with a 30 yard putt.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Depending on the tee position this hole can be a driveable straight par 4 or a tough dogleg left over the trees.
From The Fairway A hybrid or long iron to middle of the fairway may be your best option for a par.
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee After looking at the view for the last time you are eventually left with a long downhill par 5.
From The Fairway
On The Green Favour the right side off the tee as the ball will always kick left. Then you could be left with a choice either go for the green in 2 or layup but beware, go too far left and you are in the pond or too far right and you could be blocked out by the trees.
