Hole 1

Hole Name

From The Tee The first of three challenging opening holes.

From The Fairway

On The Green From an elevated tee players play down over the old pond area to a generous two tier green which runs from the players left to right. With 'out of bounds' down the right hand side of the hole as well as throught the back of the green players are faced with a challenging opening tee shot. The green itself is guarded by a bunker short front, as well as ones front left and right and to the rear.

Hole Name

From The Tee A picturesque hole lined with mature woodland either side.

From The Fairway Players play their drives to a fairway which slopes down hill left to right in the landing area so positioning your drive is key.

On The Green The second shot is back up the hill to a two tier green running back to front. Bunkers guard the landing area 30 yards short of the green on both the left and the right hand side of the fairway, A further bunker guards the front right hand side of the green. With out of bounds just 5 yards over the back players have to select their club carefully.

From The Tee

From The Fairway Similar in length to the 2nd hole players are again faced with a drive down a tree lined fairway.

On The Green A slight rise in the level of the fairway about driving distance can take yards off drives and leave players with long second shots. The green is well guarded with a bunker approximately 40 yards short right as well as ones either side at the front of the green making for a narrow opening for running balls on.

Hole Name

From The Tee A short par three but by no means easy! With fairly small green and bunkers guarding the front left and right of the green club selection is key.

From The Fairway

On The Green Add to this that the hole has out of bounds down the left and a slight bank to come up if you just miss the green to the back or left hand side - bogies are just as common as birdies.

Hole 5

Hole Name

From The Tee A short par 4, driveable for the longer hitters and only a short pitch 2nd shot for most other. Risk and reward is the name of the game on this hole.

From The Fairway A tree lined tee shot leads to a smallish landing area guarded with bunkers left and right of the fairway.

On The Green The front of the green is then peppered with bunkers with only a narrow opening on to the putting surface. The putting surface itself is very undulating so position is key to avoid a dreaded 3 putt!

From The Tee Decision time starts on the tee with the hole narrowing the closer you get to the green both in terms of

From The Fairway the fairway and the trees. Fairway bunkers right and left short of the green also lie in wait. Laying up comes with its own hazard in the shape of a bunker on the left handside of the fairway and a longer 2nd shot to a well guarded green.

On The Green Whichever you chose you will be faced a 2nd shot to an elevated green which slopes sharply from back right to front left. A green side bunker front left and steep embankments either side offer further protection.

From The Tee

From The Fairway A fairly straight forward hole with a generous fairway. The fairway bunker only comes into play from the back medal tee. Players drive down the slight hill into the landing area from where they are left with fairly short 2nd to the green.

On The Green Careful thought has to be given to the approach shot, however, as the ground slopes sharply downward from left to right in front of the green and the green is protected by two bunkers to the front left and one to the front right.

Hole Name

From The Tee The first of the three par 5s. A relatively long hole played up a slight incline with out of bounds up the right hand side and also on the left at the green.

From The Fairway A fairway bunker on the left requires some care with the tee shot but the fairway offers a relatively generous target. The second shot then offers risk and reward as the hole tightens the closer you get to the green, with the tree line to the left and out of bounds looming on the right. A second fairway bunker on the left again requires some care but the landing area is generous.

On The Green The green itself is long and narrow target, protected front left with a bunker.

Hole 9

Hole Name

From The Tee A reasonably difficult par 4 from back tee takes you out to the turn.

From The Fairway With the ground sloping right to left care has to be taken off the tee to avoid the fairway bunker guarding the left hand side of the fairway. The landing area off the tee is generous but approach shot becomes harder the the further right you are .

On The Green The green itself is guarded both front right and left with bunkers with the ground falling away sharply to the left and rear. So thought has to be given to the approach shot depending on the pin position.

Hole Name

From The Tee The inward half starts with a picturesque but challenging par 3 up the hill. A long tee shot leads to an elevated green.

From The Fairway

On The Green Whilst the green is fairly large the ground falls sharply away to the left and front of the green meaning the ball has to really land on the green for the best results. A bunker and thick clump of trees guard the right hand side of the green.

From The Tee

From The Fairway A difficult tee shot greets players with an uphill drive on to a fairway that slopes fairly sharply from the left to right with the longer hitters able to clear the slope and land on the flatter section at the top.

On The Green Whilst the hole is fairly wide it is lined with woodland and tall grasses to the left and right giving the hole a narrower look than it really is. The second shot is over a slight undulation which gives the hole the appearance that it is slightly shorter than it actually is. The green itself is fairly flat but is protected by bunkers to the front left and right of the green.

From The Tee The shortest par 5 on the course and the first of a double header .

From The Fairway Players drive down over a slight dip in the fairway to a tightish landing area. Two bunkers guard the right hand side of the fairway with one guarding the left.

On The Green Trees and long grass line the hole either side off the tee making accuracy count. The second shot is down hill to the a large green. Longer hitters will have a chance to go for the green with their second but bunkers front left and right leave only a narrow opening but behind the bunkers the green widens out. A bunker short left of the green and line of trees to the right narrows the landing area

Hole 13

Hole Name

From The Tee The second in the double header and final par 5 on the course. Of similar distance to the 12th but being back up the hill plays longer.

From The Fairway The tee shot is played on to the slope of a generous fairway which slopes mainly towards the player but also falls slightly right to left as well.

On The Green Guarding the left hand side of the fairway are two bunkers so care has to be taken from the tee. The hole is tree lined which along with the fairway narrows up towards the green. A bunker 100 yards short of the green gives players cause to think with their second shot but longer hitters will go for the green. The green itself is fairly large but is guarded front left and right with bunkers.

From The Tee A tricky tee shot awaits you on this fairly straight forward par 4.

From The Fairway Off the tee you drive over a gully to a fairly tight fairway protected on the left with a bunker and beyond tall grasses and trees, to the right the fairway is also lined with trees in the rough.

On The Green The second shot is to a reasonably sized green guarded front left and right with bunkers. Player must guard against missing the green left as the ground slopes sharpely away into thick scrub.

Hole 15

Hole Name

From The Tee The tee shot is the big decision for players on this short par 4 hole as the green is guarded to the front by a gulley.

From The Fairway Players must decide whether to try and reach the up slope of the gulley and leave themselves with a pitch up the hill or to lay up short and hit over the gulley on to the green. For those chosing to lay up the fairway in the lay up area is fairly narrow and is guarded on the left by a fairway bunker, however, the bottom of the gulley and up slope have fairly thick rough.

On The Green The green itself slopes sharely from back to front right and is proctected by two bunkers to the left of the green and one to the right leaving a very narrow entrance into the putting surface. A small embankment around the back of the green and the slope of the green itself makes pitching from the rear of the green tricky.

From The Tee A long but straight forward par 4 greets players as they stand on the 16th tee. A good drive is essential if players want to make par or better. The tee shot is semi blind over a slight undulation before falling away down the hill to the corner of the dog leg. Cut too much of the dog left off and you are blocked out by mature woodland. On The Green The green itself is protected short right and front left by bunkers. A small embankment running around the edge of the green from the front right to rear left either helps or hinders players particularly if they miss the green right.

Hole 17

Hole Name

From The Tee A short par 3 from an elevated tee straight down the hill to a shallow by wide green.

From The Fairway

On The Green Club selection is key to keeping the ball on the green especially in firm conditions. The green is guarded left and short and green side right by bunkers. Players must guard against missing the green long or right as the ground slopes steeply away making for a difficult chip shot back particularly if the pin is cut to that side. Out of bounds down the left hand side and to rear but this should not

Hole Name

From The Tee A relatively short par 4 finishing hole back up the slope.

From The Fairway A tricky tee shot awaits players with out of bounds up the left hand side of the hole and trees up the right. This is made even tighter by a large mature tree on the left hand side and two bunkers on the right hand side of the fairway in the landing area.

On The Green The second shot is then into a long but narrowish green guarded front right and left with bunkers. Player must guard against missing the green to the left as the ground falls away sharply leaving a difficult pitch back.
