Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Requires a lengthy downhill tee shot that must navigate fairway bunkers left and a lateral water hazard. A premium is on hitting the fairway.
On The Green The second shot is slightly uphill to large, well-bunkered green. A nearly great shot can spin back off false front and run well off green.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Hitting the fairway on this continuously narrowing but short par four is critical.
On The Green Second shot must carry Toro Creek to generous green framed by oaks. Early opportunity for birdie.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Tee shot to wide fairway must avoid Toro Creek on left and a lake right.
From The Fairway A well placed second shot sets up behind the two fairway bunkers short of green and avoids creek running length of hole on left.
On The Green Large greenside bunkers short right and pin high left guard an undulating green sloping aggressively back to front.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Longest par three, made more difficult by large lake right and gaping bunkers surrounding the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Left side of green is level and shallow, right is undulating and deep. Right to left wind forces shots dangerously close to hazard edge.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Arguably most demanding par four, the dog-leg left is bordered by pine trees left and bunker right,
From The Fairway Tee shot must carry series of mounds left edge of fairway to set up shorter approach to elevated green.
On The Green Second must avoid tough fairway bunker thirty yards short of green. Green is undulating and sloped severely back to front.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Short and slightly downhill hole puts premium on hitting fairway and avoiding two nasty bunkers dissecting fairway near driving area
On The Green Tee shot must either stay short of or carry the bunkers. Once in the fairway birdie is good possibility.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee Uphill and tight all the way,
From The Fairway the drive on this medium length hole demands accuracy not length to avoid carry bunker on right and directional bunker left. Smaller green surrounded by bunkers put a premium on accuracy.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The only way to play this hole is to stay clear of deep, daunting front greenside bunker.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green slopes severely from back-left to front-right which provides some of the big breakers for which “Corral” is famous.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Tee shot from elevated tee to a wide, generous fairway sets up second shot over Toro Creek to a continued wide fairway.
On The Green Stray a little bit, however, and large pine tree left and right make par difficult. Large terrace green provided increases the challenge.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Breathtaking view from elevated tee replicated clubhouse view from patio.
From The Fairway From from tee box to fairway is fifty feet so everything is visible. On tee shot avoid bunker short and left and another down fairway on right.
On The Green Aggressive second shot carries large greenside bunker front-right of green. Opportunity for birdie here.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Short doesn’t mean easy.
From The Fairway
On The Green The creek and large sycamore guard left side of this par three hole. Green is most heavily bunkered on the course and green surface among the most challenging. Take a par here and celebrate.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Another short tester, this time uphill. Dogleg right around cluster of bunkers demands accurate drive to leave short iron into multi-terraced
From The Fairway
On The Green green. Putting surface is mostly hidden from view. Green slopes back to front with smallest terrace at back, and lower terrace front. Bunkers guard green on all but backsides.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee Risk and reward abound on this downhill, double dogleg, which is more difficult than yardage suggested
From The Fairway On tee avoid creek along left of fairway and stand of poplars along right.
On The Green Longer hitters hit less than driver as Toro creek dissects fairway at 250 yards. Large oak protects dogleg and impacts tee shots down left. Bunkers on right inside 100 yards coax players to aim left to generous fairway to get closer to uncharacteristically level and large green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Tough back nine par four. Dogleg right forces longer hitters to carry two large bunkers to hit middle irons into the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Out of bounds runs entire length of left while pile and cypress guard the right. Second shot is slightly uphill to largest green at “Corral” which slopes from back to front. Two bunkers guard left side. Greenside collection area collects shots short and tight. Normally played into wind.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Last chance to ‘relax’ before encountering tough finishing holes
From The Fairway A dogleg right, with a lake down the left close to fairway as a deep bunker stands guard front right.
On The Green Green is small and full of character. Four to six feet of break in a putt is not uncommon.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Parallels thirteenth but runs uphill in opposite direction.
From The Fairway Toro Creek dissects fairway in tee landing area. Long hitters carry creek to take crack at reaching in two. Most lay up with a 220 yard shot.
On The Green Uphill second must avoid large complex of bunkers left. Shot must be right for a look at green, protected by two huge bunkers front left and right, hidden from view elsewhere. Many regard this green, terraced and sloped considerably back right to front left, as toughest at “Corral”.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Downhill tee shot must avoid difficult bunkers left and right to find a green sloping back to front.
From The Fairway
On The Green This is the last visit to Toro Creek which guards the right and rear of the green. Oak trees provide a natural backdrop and enhance beautiful natural setting for the hole.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A fine closing hole. One of strongest statements of course. Most always into prevailing wind
From The Fairway A large bunker complex hug the left and huge pines loom right, so finding fairway is essential for any chance to reach green in regulation
On The Green Second shot must navigate five bunkers which surround green, a large, undulating and bowl shaped target dropping from back to front with the side sloping toward the middle.
