Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From the tee you can lay up shot short of bunkers on the right hand side of the fairway to leave a short iron to an undulating green. Be sure to pay attention to the pin placement or a very difficult putt can result.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A long iron to a difficult green, you must carry 152 metres to get over the front bunkers from the middle of the back tee. Make sure you leave your putt below the pin on the left side of the green or a treacherous putt can be expected.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A drawn tee shot hugging the left hand side of the fairway gives the best angle to this difficult green.
On The Green The second shot must have enough carry to pass the daunting bunker on the short left hand side of the green. Shots struck right could end up out of bounds.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Drive down the left hand side of the fairway to escape the fairway bunkers, which will leave you with the perfect angle to play your second shot.
On The Green Well struck wood would leave you a short iron to a narrow green.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A strong par 3 up the hill to a blind green. Much care must be taken to pick the right club as disaster abounds both long and short.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 4 dog-leg right and uphill all the way. The tee shot can be aimed at the left-hand fairway bunker 267 metres away, this will leave a mid-iron to an undulating green.
From The Fairway
On The Green For the golfers hitting a longer second, there is a generous slope at the right front of the green which will push the ball toward the putting surface.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A straight drive down the right-hand side of the fairway is essential and sets up the best line for a very challenging second.
On The Green The ideal spot to aim point for your second shot into the centre of the green however this will still leave a very tricky putt on a multilevel green.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The drive must be struck toward the left-hand bunker 255 metres away from the center of the tee to open up the slight dog-leg to the right (the longer hitter might prefer to take on the dog-leg but beware of the bunker and the lake this will take a 255-metre carry).
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot should be laid up to 50 meters short of the green to avoid the large bunker skirting the front of the green, which leaves a short iron shot to a tiered narrow undulating green.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A generous fairway leads you to believe this is an easy hole, but the underlying problems start when you are confronted with a blind second shot to a narrow subtle green which is well bunkered.
On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee A strong par 4 from an elevated tee, you must hit your tee shot to the plateau short of the fairway bunker some 250 metres from the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot would be played with a long iron or fairway wood up the valley to a well-bunkered slightly elevated, multi-level green.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A difficult par 3 in the prevailing winds. Better to under club than over club as a disaster abounds behind the green. For the shorter hitters, use the slopes on the right hand side of the fairway to help with access to the green.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Another strong par four from an elevated tee. The tee shot is best directed at the right hand fairway bunker 243 metres away.
From The Fairway A draw will see the golfer in the perfect position for the second shot to be struck with a long iron or fairway wood to a slightly elevated green where distance control is a must or you can end up with a horror putt over multi levels.
On The Green
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A long par three, usually playing into the prevailing breeze. For most players this best plays as a short par 4 with a fairway wood, long iron into the flat area short of the green, then a good pitch will see you getting a putt at your par.
On The Green For the stronger player a long iron or rescue, aimed at the mound on the right centre of the green is ideal leaving a testing putt on an undulating green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee A par five – once again this hole generally plays into the wind and asks the player to hit a well-directed drive at the left hand bunker some 266m away from the black tee. For the longer player it calls for a little fade.
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A generous fairway to hit a well struck driver up the left centre to avoid the fairway bunker. However, from there on this is one of the hardest par 4’s you will play.
On The Green The second shot is hit from some 180 metres to a blind green with a wicked slope off the front. It’s much better to be long on this green as getting up and down from the front requires skills and nerves like Tiger Woods.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A short hole that requires some thought. Most players will lay up their tee shot to the left hand side of the bunker but beware, the fairway slopes into the bunker.
From The Fairway
On The Green A short iron is left to a multi level green beware if the flag is at the front.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This hole is a long par 5. The tee shot must hug the left hand side of the fairway to avoid the bunkers on the right. The longer hitters will have to deal with two bunkers on the left as well.
On The Green The second shot must be hit up the right hand side, however, beware of the fairway bunkers on the right, leaving the ideal line in to a heavily bunkered long green.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A difficult hole. The tee shot must be hit to the left of the fairway bunkers 210 metres away
From The Fairway if you have a draw in your bag this is the best option . It’s up hill all the way and only half the flag is visible from the centre of the fairway.
On The Green Don’t be short, the penalty is severe as the ball will roll 20 to 30 metres back toward you.
