Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 1 is a 343 yard par 4 that eases you into your round.
From The Fairway The only concern here is a creek that runs up the right hand side. Aim your teem shot up the left hand side of the fairway and you'll be left with an
On The Green open approach to a flat green. One or two putts later your round should be off to a good start.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 2 plays longer than its 102 yard distance would indicate because it heads straight up the hill. The green slopes more severely from back to front on the right hand side, so players that spin the ball a lot must be careful not to spin the ball off the front of the green when hitting to right hand hole locations. The front left of the green is almost perfectly flat and causes a lot of missed pu

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Even though this is the second shortest par 4 on the course, it may be the most difficult hole of them all.
From The Fairway Players must worry about out of bounds in the trees to the right and the road/ditch which are marked as a lateral hazard to the left. The fairway also slopes severely from right to left and can cause even well struck balls to careen into the hazard on the left. The ideal tee shot is a slight fade into the high side of the fairway carrying at least 170 yard off the tee.
On The Green
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The 345 yard dogleg left 4th hole is nearly as daunting as the 3rd.
From The Fairway In fact if we had to pick an "Amen Corner" for Coudersport Golf Club, 3 thru 5 would be it. The tee shot is again protected by the road/hazard on the left and out-of-bounds to the right. An ideal tee shot is about 200 yards up the left center of the fairway.
On The Green That should catch the slope and feed to the left toward the green. The downhill approach shot will play 1 to 2 clubs less than the yardage would indicate.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 5 marks the end of this daunting stretch. The tee shot is fairly open with out-of-bounds up the right side again.
From The Fairway An ideal tee shot is 230 to 240 yards up the right center of the fairway.
On The Green From the tee long hitters can reach the hazard right of the green and half-shots are difficult to stop on this green, so it's prudent to lay back a little bit. The green is the most severely sloped on the course leaning from left to right.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The par 3 6th green is protected by a bunker in the front right.
From The Fairway The putting surface is rather large, however a false front from the middle of the green to the left will cause most shots that hit the left side of the green to end up on the left fringe. It plays about 150 yards to the middle of the green and the ideal tee shot is just right of the pin. Once on the green, the bowl-shaped nature of the putting surface makes 3 putts quite common.
On The Green
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole was redesigned in 2012 and went from the shortest par 5 to the longest par 4 on the golf course.
From The Fairway Most of the trees were removed from around the green to open up the second shot, but one pesky tree still remains to torment golfers on their second shot. Depending on your tee shot placement, a little air or ground shaping may be necessary to earn a birdie putt on this hole.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is a 90 degree dogleg right.
From The Fairway The landing area is downhill approximately 160 yards off the tee. From there you'll be left with about 100-130 yard shot through trees to the green.
On The Green Navigating the trees from the landing area to the green is tight, so controlling your distance off the tee is key. A second option of going over the trees to the right is available. The green sits in line with the apple tree off the front right of the tee approximately 240 yards out.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 9 is straight walk down broadway back to the clubhouse.
From The Fairway This hole usually plays longer than 492 yards as it usually heads into the prevailing wind.
On The Green The only area to avoid is the wild grass that grows on the hill to the right. Hitting your tee shot there will add a stroke or two to your front nine total.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The 10th hole plays longer then the yardage would indicate as it is severely uphill from tee to green.
From The Fairway This dogleg right is among the toughest holes on the course. The tee shot on this hole if fairly open and easy, however the second shot is very demanding.
On The Green Miss the green right or long you'll be lucky to leave with a bogey 5. There is also long grass and tree that protect the left side. So the best strategy on your second shot here is just to put it anywhere on the green and go from there.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 11 is the shortest hole on the golf course, but it still has pleanty of bite.
From The Fairway The green is postage stamp size, and if you miss this green left you very well may be pitching back up the hill from 10 green.
On The Green The only bail out spot here is right or short right of the green. A few hole-in-ones here have been made off a lucky bounce from the hill right of the green.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee The panoramic scene from the 12th tee rivals anything around.
From The Fairway It's so beautiful that a gentleman once proposed marriage to his lady right on the 12th tee. As for the hole, it plays much shorter then the yardage would indicate.
On The Green An ideal tee shot is right at the large bushy pine right of the green. From there, approach shots will usually feed toward the center of this saddle shaped green. After a couple putts head accross the parking lot to 13 tee.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee at the 14th was moved back and up onto the hill a
From The Fairway few years ago and instantly made this the most challenging tee shot on the course. Out of bounds and trees line the left side of the hole and a creek running up the right will quickly add strokes to your score.
On The Green An ideal tee shot is up the right hand side with a little draw. The green is a two tiered green with protecting bunkers on the left and front right.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The slope of the 13th fairway will feed most balls that land in the left rough back into the fairway.
From The Fairway
On The Green The hole is tree lined, but there's a lot of room between the trees making this hole forgiving to arrant shots. The green is deceptively sloped from back to front and putts to a front pin position tend to be faster then they appear.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The creek running up the right side of number 15 makes this a risk / reward hole.
From The Fairway The safe path is to play left about 180 yards toward the tall pine trees and approach the green from there.
On The Green Longer hitters can try to drive this green as it plays about 270 yards to the green from the tee. The green is protected in front by a bunker that sits about 10 or 15 yards from the putting surface. This green is filled with subtle undulations that make it a very difficult green to read.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The first of two finishing par 5's is a dogleg left. The tee shot is blind, but a good line is right over the apple tree sitting halfway up the hill.
From The Fairway A ball hit about 200 to 230 yards hit on that line will find the fairway.
On The Green After that, it's a straight shot in to a fairly small green. Out-of-bounds lines the left side of this hole and a local rule makes over the creek right on-course out-of-bounds as well. The small and exposed green tends to get very hard and is prO-Bably the least receptive
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the longest par 3 on the golf course and certainly the toughest. Trees up the right and creek on the left can catch wayward tee shots. Bunkers on the front right and back left and a number of large mounds around the green make pitching to this green difficult. After all of that, prO-Bably the toughest part of this hole is the wind as this is another area of the course where it tends to swi
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee The finishing hole is another risk/reward hole.
From The Fairway This short par 5 can be made even shorter by hitting further right, however the further right you go the more your bring the creek, the on course out-of-bounds on 17 and the wild grasses across the creek into play.
On The Green Most times it's best to play the safe shot off the tee to the middle of the fairway as long hitters can still reach the green in two from there. The green is large and receptive.
