Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The longer players want to aim their tee shot up the right side of the fairway because all the balls tend to bound left and could leave you blocked out for your second shot.
On The Green A good tee shot leaves the longer player under 100 yards. Shorter hitters can aim right down the middle of the fairway leaving themselves between 160-140 yards into the green. The second shot plays a little downhill to a green that will hold a well struck golf shot. The green slopes substantially back to front. We do not want to be over this green!
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Visually this hole points you to the right half of the fairway. You want to keep your ball down the left side leaving a clear shot into this green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Guard against going right as any shot right of the access road will most likely find the pond. Any tee shot leaving the player with 160-110 yards into the green will leave you with a scoring opportunity. There is a collection area on the front right of the green that will collect balls not hit pin high.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee You will want to hit your tee shot down the middle of the fairway.
From The Fairway All balls landing in the fairway will funnel down the hill leaving you with a flatter lie for your second. With a layup off the tee you are left with 160-125 yards.
On The Green This approach plays at least one club shorter than the yardage. Avoid going over this green as the up and in is very difficult. If you want to challenge this hole and feel comfortable drawing the ball, the longer hitter can huge the trees down the left and have in under 50 yards to this green.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The approach to this par 3 plays one full club longer than the yardage. We want to focus on clearing the bunkers in the front of the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green This green is severely sloped from back to front and will hold a well struck golf shot. Keep your tee shot pin high or below the hole if you want a chance at 2!
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole sets up for someone who can work the ball right to left. The tee shot is protected by a bunker down the right side.
From The Fairway
On The Green A layup shot leaving the player 100 yards in is best. If your tee shot ends up too far to the right, you will find yourself blocked out by very large trees down the right. Out of bounds creeps in on the left, but only a shot well off the mark will end up out of bounds. The second shot plays one full club longer than the yardage and the two tiered green is very fast from back to front. Missing shor
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot is a relatively easy one if the proper line is taken off the tee.
From The Fairway Without being able to see the fairway from the tee, you will want to aim at the three smoke stacks on the horizon. If you can work the ball right to left, that would be good to get the ball rolling down the fairway rather than bounding through it. The second shot plays substantially down hill. Usually a two club difference from the yardage.
On The Green The green is protected by mounds that will either kick your ball on the green or farther away. All approach shots landing short of the green will end up in the collection area on the front left part of the green. This green tends to have very large breaks.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The longer players will have to make a decision here,
From The Fairway as the fairway bunker can be carried even from the gold tees. A shot of 280 yards plus will be required to do so. If that is not an option, then aiming at the right edge of the
On The Green bunker will be a better option as all the balls tend to bounce right. The second shot is to a odd shaped green. You want to make sure to take one extra club on the approach and error left. Most players tend to over read their putts on this hole, so when in doubt play it straight.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot requires precision. A right to left tee shot will help curve the ball around the corner as well as keep your ball from rolling into the right rough.
From The Fairway The layup can be difficult but the focus should be to carry the left fairway bunker. I a well positioned layup will leave the player between 130-80 yards. From there you,
On The Green will want to keep your ball below the hole as this green is fast from back right to front left.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee You will want to make sure that you judge the wind properly on the tee shot here, as a shot pin high will leave the best opportunity for birdie.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green slopes from right to left, and you can use this slope to your advantage to get the ball close to a pin left of center. A well struck ball will leave the player with a good look.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is a definite driver hole.
From The Fairway The longer player can get the ball down on the flat part of the fairway leaving under 100 yards, whereas the shorter hitters are challenged with an uneven lie for their second.
On The Green The second shot plays half a club shorter than the yardage. The visually flat green will break heavily from right to left on a shot left short of the hole.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee This classic risk reward hole will challenge the shorter hitter and leave the longer player wanting more.
From The Fairway The longer player can hit a hard left to right shot leaving a flip wedge into a relatively flat green. The shorter players have to navigate the fairway bunkers and are left with a long second. The second shot here plays at least half a club downhill and the player should always protect against going long.

The second shot here plays at least half a club downhill and the player should always protect against going long.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Again, we have options off the tee. The shorter players can hit driver just to the right of the willow trees off the tee, and are left with 150-130 yard shot up a very steep hill. The longer player has two options. Layup off the tee to the landing area, or bomb a left to right drive to the second level, leaving only a 50 yard wedge shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green This hole is all about the second shot. It is very difficult to get your approach pin high on this hole. You will want to avoid going long of this hole, as the green slopes from back to front.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee You will want to get an accurate read on the yardage here. This hole plays about 20-30 yards less than the yardage and we need to focus on hitting this green.
From The Fairway
On The Green The two towering pine trees to the right side of the green will stop a right to left tee shot from finding the green and the hill to the left will result in a lost ball if you hit it left. The green is relatively flat and a good tee shot will be rewarded with a good birdie bid.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The longer players will be licking their chops on this hole.
From The Fairway The longer player can take an aggressive line aiming down the left edge of the fairway and turning the ball right to left. If you are a high ball hitter you can hit it straight over the trees on the left leaving under 150 yards into this par 5. The shorter player will want to aim down the right side of the fairway and hit a layup down the left.
On The Green A layup down the left will leave the best angle to a well guarded flat green. Any balls landing short of this green in dry conditions will roll onto the front of the green. A player will lose a shot or two to the field if they walk away with par on this hole.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This fairway is the widest on the golf course, and will reward a low boring tee shot. A low tee shot that clears the hill will maximize roll and leave players with a mid iron in.
On The Green This semi-blind tee shot should be taken at the Berkshire Life Steeple. The green is relatively flat and all measures should be taken to avoid going long.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot should be taken at the left edge of the willow tree beside the green.
From The Fairway A long player can carry the fairway bunker on that line, and that line will also keep the short player safe. The shorter players needed to lay up have a bunker about 80 yards short of the green to negotiate. Keep your layup right or short of this bunker and you will be able to see the green surface. The longer player should challenge this hole by going for it in two. The miss is right of the green
On The Green The green is guarded by bunkers, but a confident player can get up and down from these bunkers. The green has a knoll in the center of it that will kick your ball one of 4 ways. With the pin in the front you will want to be pin high or short, and any shot on the upper level will have a good chance to a back pin.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The 17th should be played with caution. Coming down the stretch of a tournament a loose swing here could result in a big number.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is well guarded by bunkers. The hole plays half a club downhill and should if a player is to miss long and short are better than right or left.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Your tee shot on the home hole should be aimed directly at the flagpole in the distance.
From The Fairway You want to avoid the fairway bunkers off the tee. Most players choose to layup off the tee here leaving them under 150 yards to this green. The longer player can attempt to carry the fairway bunkers and even challenge the green side bunkers. The downhill lie on your second usually makes the second shot jump a bit and leaves the player above the hole for their birdie bid. Make sure you take into c
