From The Tee From the 1st tee it is a straight drive over a rough area and burn to a large green shared with hole 3.
From The Fairway Wayward tee shots to the left will attract rough, gorse bushes and the beach beyond. There is however plenty of room to land the ball to the centre or right of the fairway.
On The Green The area between the dip at the front of the 6th green and the burn can often be boggy hence a local rule is in place should your ball plug in this area allowing relief without penalty.
From The Tee From the 2nd tee it is a straight drive down the fairway avoiding anything to the left which could result in playing a second shot from the beach.
From The Fairway Anything to the right will hopefully land in safety on the adjacent 3rd fairway.
On The Green The green is relatively small and is raised and protected by a rock outcrop that demands an airborne shot to land safely on it rather than a low running approach. Beware of anything through the green which can result in heavy rough or again the beach.
From The Tee Dog leg right hole with the green hidden from view by a line of large trees.
From The Fairway There is plenty of room to the centre or left of the fairway however anything left does increase the distance to the green. Anything to the right will involve an approach shot over the trees.
On The Green The green is protected by a water hazard to the front right and any shots through the green can attract deep rough.
From The Tee The hardest hole on the course is a dog leg left from an elevated tee with a water hazard up the left hand side.
From The Fairway Long hitters can take on the water hazard but if not there is plenty of room centre or right of the fairway. The approach shot after that is over the same area subject of the local rule mentioned at hole 1 so once again relief without penalty is available.
From The Tee Only the longest of hitters can clear the river
From The Fairway which splits this hole and the safe shot is a lay up over the heavy rough area and onto the fairway past the clubhouse.
On The Green The area to the left of the clubhouse including the car park is out of bounds. The approach shot to the green is fairly straightforward over the river with plenty of room to land the ball to the centre or left. Anything long and right is likely to land on the beach.
From The Tee A short par 3 with rough to the left and right of the green and an area of rough also to the front right. The road borders the left hand side and is out of bounds so please be aware of any approaching traffic before playing a tee shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green A short par 3 with rough to the left and right of the green and an area of rough also to the front right. The road borders the left hand side and is out of bounds so please be aware of any approaching traffic before playing a tee shot.
From The Tee The longest hole on the course which is again split in two by the river. Tee shots to the centre and left are the best option however anything wayward and to the right will result in punishing rough.
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot over the river and subsequent approach to the green is relatively straightforward and the ditch to the right hand side running from the clubhouse to 1st tee is subject to relief without penalty.
