From The Tee A nice opening hole which for the longer hitters is reachable in 2.
From The Fairway Best line off the tee is down the left which opens up the angle to the green and keeps the very large right greenside bunker out of your line.
On The Green The green is longer than it appears from the fairway.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A long testing par 4 which requires a tee shot down the left to provide for best angle into a green which slopes from back to front and right to left.
From The Fairway
On The Green Therefore best to miss the green short or left as the green slopes away from you if in the right greenside bunkers.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Bunkers surround this offset green with the front right bunker running the full length of the green.
From The Fairway Much better to take an extra club as there is a safe apron behind this surprisingly sizeable green.
On The Green Bail-out option front left can actually be a good spot for any pin position just over the front bunker

Hole Name
From The Tee Often short par 4’s can be the most interesting and have the greatest number of choices and this is no exception.
From The Fairway The longer hitter can try cut over and around the corner to get close to the green but the fairway does narrow. Otherwise tee shots drifting right will end up in the fairway bunkers and those pulled left end up in the trees with a near impossible second shot to a tough green.
On The Green Avoid the 2 right greenside bunkers at any cost as the green slopes back to front and right to left.

From The Tee
From The Fairway A par 5 which bends gently left with the ideal shot coming from right to left starting at the right fairway bunker.
On The Green The second shot must be threaded between the opposing fairway bunkers leaving a short pitch to the green which widens to the rear.

From The Tee A very tough hole which requires both a precise tee shot and long iron to the green. Best to be slightly left off the tee to avoid behind the corner trees but too far left means a draw around the lakeside trees will be required.
From The Fairway
On The Green The greens falls away from any left “sucker pin” positions with the best option always aiming for the centre of the green to try for a safe par.

Hole Name
From The Tee Another short par 4 with a variety of options. Try fly the corner or draw around the trees to leave a short pitch from the left but the best angle up the length of the green is from the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green A chance to be aggressive with your approach if you can avoid the 5 greenside bunkers.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A green which lies elevated and offset means that the best option is normally to take an extra club and aim towards back mound to help stop the ball and take all bunkers out of play.
From The Fairway Bailout is front left and can be a good option for those who can’t take on the challenge or for a front pin position.
On The Green The green has many slopes and has some of the quickest putts on the course when above the hole.

Hole Name
From The Tee A long hole which heads uphill to the green for the second half of its’ journey. Best to be along the right side to open up to all of the green yet anything right heads into the rough and trees.
From The Fairway
On The Green This is a very long green so take an extra club as most come up short. As this is a relatively flat green, once on “the dancefloor” putts here are very makeable.

From The Tee
From The Fairway A pretty undulating par 5 with a definite birdie opportunity. Longer hitters can reach the long left fairway bunkers while most players should do everything they can to avoid having their tee shot swallowed up by the first fairway bunker.
On The Green Greenside bunkers left and right guard a green with a variety of undulations and anything past the pin leaves a quickish putt on a green which slopes from back to front.

From The Tee A beautiful short hole played from an elevated tee down to the fairway then ascending again to a green on the highest part of the course.
From The Fairway Best approach and is skirting the left rough to a green which lies offset. Avoid the back bunker as it is difficult to hold the green from here, or attacking any left front pin positions as the false front often sees balls roll back 30 metres down the swale.
On The Green

Hole Name
From The Tee One of the toughest Par 3’s around so bring everything you’ve got. It’s long, uphill and surrounded by bunkers.
From The Fairway You have 2 options, lay up short or go for it. Par on this hole is always a good score with birdies rarely seen.
On The Green Adam Scott double bogeyed here in the final round of the 2001 Victorian Open to lose the lead and then the tournament.

From The Tee The longest hole on the course which can be played a variety of ways depending on conditions.
From The Fairway Longer hitters can test their bravery to fly the huge left fairway bunker while most play towards the crest only to be confronted by a right fairway bunker for second shots.
On The Green Best to be towards the right when approaching the green which appears to slope from back to front but is actually quite flat. Attack the pin with the approach as birdies are a chance here.

From The Tee A sensational short par 3 which would not be out of place on the best of the Sandbelt courses.
From The Fairway A tee shot over the ti-tree towards the front right is known as “Granny’s corner”, but beware the tricky swale in front and outside of the right greenside bunker.
On The Green Similar to the 8th hole, the green has some of the more severe slopes on the course, and make sure you don’t go long as an up and down is tough from there. A hole that excites every time it is played, irrespective of the result.

From The Tee
From The Fairway A short hole which requires a strong plan from the tee. Long hitters can take on the green but it must be gun-barrel straight to avoid the ever difficult long bunker shot while most opt to lay up short of the sand leaving a shortish approach.
On The Green Aim for the heart of the green as any timid approaches will be caught by the valley in front, which also makes the green appear closer than it actually is. Stay alert here or you will rue the consequences for a lapse in concentration. Birdie chances often end in bogeys.

From The Tee
From The Fairway A very pretty hole with great challenge. Aim over the right hand fairway bunker and let rip or else play towards the left for flatter ground and a better approach angle.
On The Green A brave shot to the green will open the door for a birdie while the right side bunkers make for a near impossible up and down.

Hole Name
From The Tee An uphill tee shot to a fairway which bends just slightly right over the blind crest. Be wary off attacking the pin unless it is cut in the centre of the green as wayward shots left or right will cause some grief.
From The Fairway One of the best holes on the course as it looks a lot easier than it plays and brings many a good round undone. A definite sleeper in terms of difficulty.
On The Green

Hole Name
From The Tee The toughest hole on the course and one that doglegs sharply once over the crest.
From The Fairway The tee shot must be left of centre to ensure a clear second shot as many balls drift into the corner trees. Even after a good drive, you will be left with a long shot to a guarded green with many tricks and slopes.
On The Green Anything left will feed off the left edge of the green while the right greenside bunker leaves an incredibly testing sand shot to a green that slopes away from you. Make a par and you have accomplished something here.
