Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee An easy hole to get you started. The big hitter can reach the green with two good shots.
From The Fairway The not so big hitter is advised to lay up short or just over the ridge which extends across the fairway approx. 90 meters from the green, leaving a short iron into the green.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Accuracy is of prime importance, so a long iron, three, or five wood is recommended, as a properly hit tee shot will put the clever player well within reach of the green, leaving a middle or short iron. approach to the green.
On The Green
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The wide fairway should not trouble most golfers off the tee However, a straight shot is vital with your second, to achieve par or better.
On The Green Deep bunkers are positioned to the left of the green, with heavy rough and trees to the right.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Many golfers find this hole to be the most difficult hole on the course, with a lateral water hazard to the right, and two fearsome bunkers on the left from the tee.
From The Fairway The perfect shot from the tee block is down the right side of the fairway drawing back to the centre.
On The Green Lay up short right of the bunkers, and play a middle, or long iron into the green.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green Anything short will be caught by the sand trap across the front of the green, anything too long, left or right will make par tricky.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Risk or reward short par 4. Sensible play is long iron off the tee short of the large mound on the left and the fairway bunker down the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green This leaves a short iron in to a narrow green. Play it safe, take your par and move on.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee Precision golf is a must from the tee block on this hole. As a wayward shot to the right is likely to end up in the lateral water hazard, situated some 160 to 280 metres from the tee.
From The Fairway Deep broadleaf grass and trees will make shots from off the fairway difficult. Fairway sand trap on the left,
On The Green 100 metres short of the green, and the greenside bunker on the right will provide a challenge.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A demanding par three with water carry and a large bunker protecting the left front side of the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Take plenty of club and play the percentage shot to the right hand side of the green.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The perfect shot here will finish right of centre fairway. Heavy rough and trees line both sides of this hole, and any shot too far left will make it almost impossible to reach the green in two. Watch out for the deep greenside bunker right of the green.
On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee This left to right dogleg requires a straight shot from the tee between the two knolls on the right of the fairway.
From The Fairway However, best results might be achieved by hitting a fade from the tee block, aiming at the fairway sand trap on the left and allowing the ball to drift back to centre fairway.
On The Green A largish bunker is situated left of the green and any shot hit through the back of the green will make par difficult.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green Easy little hole, but watch out for the three bunkers to the right of this large green. A shot missing the green to the left, or too long, will probably prove expensive.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A straight hole requiring a fade from the tee, or a very straight shot aiming left of centre fairway, as the tee block is situated close to the right side of the course.
On The Green A shot hit right or too far left will create problems, and probably result in bogie or worse.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This delightful hole shouldn’t bother most players. A straight shot from the tee is the ticket here, as a thick line of trees down the entire right side of the fairway, and double sand traps on the left, are the only hazards to be avoided. And oh yes, look out for the bunker at the back of the green, which cannot be seen from the fairway.
On The Green
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Don’t panic just yet, accuracy is the order of the day here. Certainly, the big hitters will only require a short iron into the green for their third shot, providing of course, they have hit the ball straight with their two previous shots.
From The Fairway The thinking golfer will sacrifice distance, to ensure the ball stays on the short grass, and out of trouble.
On The Green A three wood is recommended for first and second shots. And you can still make par with a good chip and putt. Believe it or not, bogie is acceptable on this hole.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A very straight shot is required here, or a nice draw will do the job just as well. The ideal tee shot will finish right of centre fairway, away from the trees on the left.
On The Green Leaving a fairly simple shot into the green, left of or over a shallow bunker. An over exuberant second shot might finish out of bounds at the back of the hole, so be careful.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Definitely the most difficult of the par three holes. The obstacles, that need to be negotiated when playing this hole are: Out of bounds on the right and a long, narrow greenside bunker, also the right, can spell disaster for the wayward shot. The ideal shot? Straight, or miss the green to the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A diabolical hole this one! Lots of undulations throughout the fairway, which can provide some very tricky lies. Strategically placed hills, covered with thick grass, combined with a tree lined fairway, to make this hole one of the most challenging on the course.
On The Green Safest shot from the tee is a gentle fade down the right side of the fairway, followed by the appropriate club to the heart of the green.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee You’re nearly home so don’t blow this one. The bigger hitters can carry the bunker to the right from the tee. If you’re not sure then a three wood is the club to play.
From The Fairway The second shot should also be a three wood, or maybe a five wood to come up short of the two fairway bunkers on the left just to be safe. A short iron should be all you need to be nicely on the green.
On The Green Be warned however, this is a narrow green, and has a very steep slope front left, anything short will roll back off the green on this side. Now, if you managed to hold the green, knock in the putt to finish with a birdie.
