Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Although the first hole and its yardage looks straightforward enough there are plenty of dangers with out of bounds all the way along the right side and a large oak tree on the left to block your second shot. Ideally hit an iron from this tee to leave yourself a mid to short iron into the green which sits below the surface of the fairway. A good start could be yours but beware. Many a card has bee
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Another short par 4, but whatever you choose to hit from the tee ensure you hit
From The Fairway the fairway to give yourself the best angle into this long but narrow green. There are three fairway bunkers present to catch any errant drives and if you do happen to end up in one although not deep leaves an extremely tough shot. Again, what should be a birdie hole can bite you.
On The Green
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough tee shot here from a raised tee! Make sure to hit it straight to thread it through the gap.
From The Fairway Once on the fairway a mid to long iron or even fairway wood is required to hit this two tiered green. Beware if the pin is positioned on the back right of
On The Green the green it will take all your skill to two putt. Ladies NB – Try to avoid the grassy ditch short of the green as, once in it, your next shot will be tricky. Lay up short of it to give the best chance to hit the green.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Long hitters can try and fly the corner of the dogleg to give a view of the green for their second, the shorter hitter should play the hole as they see it.
From The Fairway Aim at the big tree to the right of the fairway from the tee to give the best chance to carry the fairway bunkers with your second.
On The Green Once over these it is a relatively simple short shot to a mostly flat green but beware of being too bold as could leave a tricky chip and if the pin is at the back, an almost impossible up and down!
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee One of our longest par 4s with bunkers galore!
From The Fairway Avoid the out of bounds on the right from the tee and you are left with a decision of whether to take on the fairway cross bunkers with your second. If you can get over this leaves a fairly straightforward pitch to the green.
On The Green The trouble does not end there though as the green is large with a upslope from front to back! This green has the severest breaks and borrows of any green on the course so if you can two putt you should be delighted.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Another testing par 4 with a large oak tree blocking the right side of the fairway!
On The Green Longer hitters can fly the tree but if you can’t try to stick to the left side of the cut and prepared. The second shot will require a mid to short iron but avoid the two front greenside bunkers at all costs. Once in these an extremely deft shot is required often with very little green to work with between you and the hole. Another hole where a par is an excellent result!
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A reasonably straightforward par 3 where 3 bunkers guard the approach! Make sure you hit enough club to get over these!
From The Fairway
On The Green Once on the large two tiered green a makeable birdie putt could be yours if you are pin high but if not a long and sloping putt is in store. Over the back of the green is deep rough, trees, a ditch and beyond these a busy road! Try to keep your ball away from the traffic!!!
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The longest par 4, although straight, danger lies everywhere. From the O-B all along the right side to the pesky bush which can block the slightly errant tee shot to the right, the scorecard can take a hammering here. Sacrifice some distance and keep straight is the sensible way to play the hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green has a distinct dip in the middle so take this into account when chipping and putting depending on the flag position. A par or nett par on this hole deserves a pat on the back!
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A visually intimidating par 3 as a ditch and several large trees loom in between you and the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green It is only the very tall who can see the putting surface from this tee box! Once you have threaded the gap two bunkers guard the green but once on the short stuff it is a relatively flat green where a one putt is at your mercy. Make sure you finish well here to make your memories of the first nine holes of the course a good one!
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Like the first time round there are plenty of dangers with out of bounds all the way along the right side and a large oak tree on the left to block your second shot.
From The Fairway Ideally hit an iron from this tee to leave yourself a mid to short iron into the green which sits below the surface of the fairway. A good score for the start of your back nine is possible but this simple looking hole is anything but.

Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee A real brute of a par 3 for the men. At 241 yards from the white tees only the longest hitters can hit the putting surface in regulation!
From The Fairway For the shorter hitter stay right of the fairway bunker on the left to give yourself the simplest pitch or chip. A bogey is never a bad score on this hole! Ladies – Aim for the middle of the fairway of this Par 4 as the left rough is a long carry.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A much less intimidating drive from this lower tee box but beware of

Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee In my opinion the toughest hole on the course regardless of stroke index.
From The Fairway The driving area is less than 40 yards wide at its narrowest. Once on the fairway you will be left with a fairway wood or long iron into a small green. Good luck and try not to ruin your scorecard on the infamous 15th! Ladies NB – Your forward tee makes this a simpler prospect than the 6th was first time round

Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee In theory the simplest hole on the course and a good chance for a birdie.
From The Fairway
On The Green You will hitting a mid to short iron to this two tired green. If the flag is on the back tier of the putting surface club selection is all important.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The last of our par 5s. Longer hitters should view this hole as a
From The Fairway
