Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Take aim at the left hand side of the fairway, to allow your ball to take the slope to the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Longer hitters may be able to go for home in two, however the smarter play is to lay your second shot up just short of the bunker which leaves a short pitch on to a large gently sloping back to front green. Great birdie chance to start your round off well.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee All uphill, the second hole is considered one of the hardest holes at Devil bend by many. This hole will favor those who are able to move the ball right to left.
From The Fairway Driver may not always be the best option, as a fairway wood or long iron can take the trees on the right out of play. A tough dog-leg left, with tall trees lining either side of the fairway, the second shot can make or break your hole.
On The Green With deep bunkers guarding either side of a two-tiered green, an extra club may be something to consider when hitting in.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Devilbends signature Par 3, the third hole is measured at 135m, however as this hole is all downhill, it may pay to take one club less.
From The Fairway
On The Green 3 bunkers, a water hazard and O-O-B left and long, make this little gem such a popular hole.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the easier holes on the course, this straight-forward par 4 can be a snack if your drive finds the fairway.
From The Fairway With trees lining the fairway again, a straight drive is crucial to set up your approach shot.
On The Green Golfers of all abilities can make this green in regulation as the final 100m of the fairway slope severely down to a large green. The only hazards on this hole are found surrounding the green, no sand, however water surround the left, right and back of this green.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee A massive dam that streams from the Devilbend Reservoir takes up the right hand side for the majority of this hole.
From The Fairway With a fairway that slopes towards the water, a drive down the left hand side is the ideal play for most golfers, longer hitters, however, may be tempted to take on the water.
On The Green This fairway slopes uphill into a two-tiered green which is guarded by a small bunker on the left hand side.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging 379 meters par 4 involves a dogleg to the left. A tee shot down the right hand side that reaches the bend is ideal as this will leave a mid iron into a back to front sloping elevated green which can cause trouble if you miss left or long.
From The Fairway
On The Green The more aggressive golfer may choose to take on the dogleg as the reward is short iron or wedge into the green.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway similar to the 2nd this long uphill par 4 doglegs to the left. the fairway is once again lined with tall trees either side, a drive to the right hand side is ideal and sets up challenging approach shot.
On The Green into a two-tiered green surrounded by bunkers. An extra club may be necessary if the pin is located on the top tier (good idea to check the pin location walking down the first).
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green Downhill par three to a generous, flat green. Again make sure of your club selection, and avoid missing the green to the left.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Play your drive down the right hand side of the fairway. Very narrow green, so make sure you are on line.
On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Avoid the hazards to the right with your teeshot. This leaves a blind second shot to the green that is reachable for the longer hitters.
From The Fairway Play your second down the right hand side which should run back to the middle of the fairway leaving a simple pitch or chip straight up the narrow green.
On The Green
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is raised and sits at an awkward angle. Take enough club to carry the front bunker and reach the green safely.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Signature hole, with water all down the left hand side of your tee shot, the second is just as daunting to a raised green surrounded by bunkers.
From The Fairway Second shot plays longer than you think. This hole takes two great shots to make the green in regulation.
On The Green
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green This hole has a very tricky green. The front right quarter is very sloped and balls landing here will result in a difficult first putt.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Dogleg right, aim down the right edge with your drive as the fairway slopes from right to left. Leaving a second shot that is slightly uphill to to the green, (take an extra club).
On The Green Try and leave the ball below the hole on this green as downhill putts will have your knees knocking.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Need to be straight on this hole, OOB runs down the left side of the entire fairway.
On The Green Once you negotiate the drive this leaves a long second shot downhill to the narrow green which is guarded left and right by deep bunkers.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Aim your teeshot down the left hand side of this long par 4.
From The Fairway The second shot requires another long straight hit to a narrow elevated green which drops away severely on both sides. This is one of the toughest holes on the course.
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Aim at the fairway bunker with your teeshot on this relatively short par 4.This will leave you with an easy pitch to a large flat green. Birdie Chance.
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The final hole aim up the centre right side of the fairway to avoid being blocked out by the trees on the corner. This leaves an uphill shot to a tricky green, make sure you have enough club.
