Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A nice gentle(ish) start to your round. Often played down wind, this is a medium length par 5 that dog legs right to left.
From The Fairway
On The Green Two large Bunkers guard the narrow entrance to the larger green that slopes from left to right. A definite birdie chance for longer hitters.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A long and challenging par 4, where the wide fairway slopes from left to right.
On The Green Club selection for your approach shot is tricky looking down onto the green that slopes towards the water. A par on this hole is a great score!
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A picturesque short par 3, however depending on the wind club selection can be tricky.
From The Fairway
On The Green An elevated tee shot to a small target guarded by bunkers and a stream that will catch anything slightly offline. The green slopes from left to right. Don’t be fooled by its Stroke Index.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The fourth is a comfortable par 5. The fairway slopes from left to right, so keep your drive up the left side.
From The Fairway
On The Green Guarded by a stream that goes half way up the hole on the left, accuracy is key for your second. The green is a 3 tier MacKenzie green, guarded by large bunkers on each side.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee The fifth is a strong par 3 and wind will typically play on your club selection.
From The Fairway
On The Green Bunkers guard the front and right hand side for anything short or slightly offline. Be aware of the Out of Bounds for anything too long. A shot into the heart of the green, two putt par and move onto the next!
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This is an excellent Par 4. An element of risk and reward from the tee.
From The Fairway A successful drive will leave a relatively short iron approach, however accuracy will be key as the landing area narrows beyond the big tree on the right, and a stream will catch anything left of the fairway. Please ring the Bell! The green slopes from front to back. A par is excellent score.
On The Green
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The seventh is a relatively short par 4 dogleg from right to left.
From The Fairway Take the tiger line, which will shorten the hole dramatically or aim just left of the fairway bunker and use the camber of the fairway to your advantage.
On The Green Raised approach to a large green with subtle slopes.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A strong par 4, however will typically play down wind.
From The Fairway A drive past the big tree on the right hand side of the fairway is your goal.
On The Green Beware of the out of bounds behind and to the left of the green, so an accurate approach is required. No prizes for being long!
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 9 can be a good challenge into the wind.
From The Fairway The fairway bunker will be out of reach for most.
On The Green Aim down the left hand side to give yourself the best approach into a narrow raised green. Anything slightly offline to the right will find the newly renovated bunker. A good finish to the front 9.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Our signature hole. Take in the amazing views of the Derbyshire countryside.
From The Fairway A solid shot into the middle of the fairway avoiding the two bunkers will leave a short iron into a large green that slopes from back to front. Try and leave your ball beneath the hole.
On The Green There are some quick putts back down this green!
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Take a breather! More great views across Derbyshire.
From The Fairway
On The Green This cracking par 5 plays all down hill and will be a great birdie chance for all levels. The stream before the green makes going for the green in two not always an easy decision, depending on wind direction. The green slopes from back to front and two well placed bunkers means accuracy is key to walking off with a birdie 4.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A medium length par 4, however plays longer as uphill.
From The Fairway
On The Green Dog leg from right to left a good drive will leave a medium to long approach depending on how much of the corner you dare take on. This hole plays longer than it looks so you may need to take any extra club to reach the heart of the green.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a great par 4. Dog leg from right to left. Bigger hitters can leave themselves with a short iron uphill to the green,
From The Fairway
On The Green but must be careful from the tee not to go too long and end up blocked out by the tree line. Most will play short to the top of the hill and have an approach level with the green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 4 down the hill. Typically plays down wind so will play shorter than it looks.
From The Fairway From the tee you need to be aware of the stream that runs parallel to the right-hand side of the fairway.
On The Green The narrow green is guarded by bunkers on both sides and has many subtle borrows and slopes so leaving your ball on the right side of the hole is key.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Don’t go left! From an elevated Tee trees line both sides of
From The Fairway the fairway, and with a good drive you will be able to see the green below.
On The Green The approach must be accurate as a bunker guards anything left of the green and a stream guards the right.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A picturesque short par 3. Club selection and accuracy are key to setting up a good birdie chance.
From The Fairway
On The Green Quite a narrow target where anything offline will struggle to make par. The green slopes from back to front and makes for some fun pin placements. Try and leave the ball beneath the hole!
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Medium/Short par four, dog-leg right to left.
From The Fairway Aim for the mast you can see in the distance and use the camber of the fairway to your advantage.
On The Green Anything too far left will find the stream that runs parallel to the fairway. The green slopes back to front so be sure to leave your approach short of the pin.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging finish. Usually into the wind, this is a long par four all the way up to the clubhouse.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive down the left avoiding the trees will leave a long-medium Iron. Avoid the two well placed bunkers catching anything short right. The green is protected by bunkers either side so accuracy is key. A par is an excellent score.
