From The Tee The 1st hole is a 322 yard par 4 with a slight dogleg from right to left. Long hitters need not use the driver. A tee shot finishing 220/240 yards on the right hand side, opens up the slightly uphill approach shot

From The Fairway Hole 2 is a 387 yard par 4 and is much tougher than the scorecard suggests particularly so early in the round. A fairway bunker on the left hand side is to be avoided and tree lined on the right doesn’t leave much margin for the perfect angle into a green with bunkers surround the front entrance.

From The Fairway The 3rd hole is a 517 yards and on the face of it a straight forward par 5. Tree lined all down the left the perfect tee shot will be hit just inside the two right hand fairway bunkers.

From The Tee The 4th hole measures 160 yards and for such a short hole presents a variety of challenges proving that length is not the determining factor when it comes to tough par 3’s.

From The Fairway Hole 5 is the stroke index 1 hole measuring 435 yards and all uphill. A drive between the fairway bunkers either side will leave you a long iron to an undulating green where like the 2nd hole knowing the flag position is essential.

From The Tee Hole 7 measures 462 from the new white plus teeing ground and 389 from the regular tees. A blind tee shot awaits but far in the distance looking up onto the Haldon forest you will be able to see Belvedere Tower.

From The Tee The 412 par 4 8th hole is arguably the toughest par 4 on the front nine and one that shows off the history of the club. The hole moves from right to left with a shot that needs to favour the right hand side as left will leave you blocked out.

From The Tee The first of the new holes! Originally the 17th, it was reversed to create the now 402 yard 9th. A drive will need to favour the right hand side of the hole to avoid the conifers on the left with a narrow green awaiting making a picturesque hole with water looming alongside. The green is long and narrow and will require accuracy and the correct club to navigate safely.

From The Tee Hole 13 is 291 yards and is a par 4. A slight dogleg from left to right. Plagued by bunkers around the green the play is either a mid-iron off the tee for position or for the long hitters who can carry the bunkers driver could be the shot.

From The Tee Hole 14 is a 283 yard par 4 and by far the easiest par 4 on the course. Long hitters may try and drive the green and make an easy birdie, whereas a 200 yard tee shot leaves a pitch in to set up a birdie.

From The Tee Hole 15 is a 464 yard par 4 and plays the hardest on the course. The hole is a 90° dogleg from right to left. From the tee a long iron/wood needs to be used and the perfect line is over the oak tree on the corner.
