From The Tee This hole’s bark is worse than its bite! From the tee the longer hitters can take on the corner and get close to the green. For most mortals, lay up to the left and it’s a short iron down the hill. A shot that is hit slightly short can catch the down slope and kick through the green, sometimes catching the drop back right.

From The Tee
From The Fairway This picturesque hole is at the lowest point of the course. A right to left drive from the tee starting over the large oak that guards the fairway is the ideal shot. Play it 20 yards short of the fairway which bottlenecks at about 150 yards from the green. From there it should be a mid to long iron to a stepped green

From The Fairway Don’t let the wide fairway fool you. This tight tree lined hole means you have to hit your tee shot exactly at the top of the step in the left to right fairway. Failure to do so will mean you will be drawing or fading your approach to the green around some large oak trees. A shot missed to the right of the green will be kicked off the steep bank.

From The Fairway This hole favours the longer hitters. The further down the fairway you go the wider it gets. At about 90 yards from the green the ground starts to slope from right to left so keep your drive to the right. For the shorter hitters play enough club to get past the 150 yard marker. The long green slopes away from you so an accurate iron shot is required.

From The Tee Don’t go right! If you don’t catch the long bunker guarding the right hand side of this narrow green, the ball will be thrown 40 yards down into the 4th fairway. Much better to stay slightly left and use the bank to the left. Beware of the tricky back pin position. The upturned saucer green makes for tricky putting.

From The Tee As stroke index 1, this hole plays into the prevailing wind making it play longer than its yardage. Aim at the marker post on the tee shot. Think twice on the second shot as there is a large bunker guarding the left hand side of the green. The green slopes severely from back to front so try and stay below the hole on this one. Par is a good score here!

From The Tee Water, water everywhere! This hole will test your decision making skills. On the tee shot you can either lay up short of the pond or go for the big drive. Players taking on the drive will be able to reach the green in two. With out of bounds all down the right and water all down the left, this hole can be a real card wrecker.

From The Fairway Aim at the left hand corner of the house to hit this narrow fairway. Go for the green in two if you think you can avoid the large bunker guarding the right hand side of the green. If you lay up short, stay to the right of the fairway to leave an easier pitch shot. A definite birdie chance.

If you get out of position, stay left on the lay up shot as the narrow green is angled well from left to right. Beware of the small hidden pot bunker guarding the right hand side of the green.

From The Fairway This short par 4 is another birdie chance. Keep your tee shot down the left hand side of the fairway avoiding the bordering row of trees. This will open up the green and leave a much easier wedge shot to this left to right angled green. Anything to the right will leave an extremely difficult approach.

From The Fairway A right to left dogleg hole follows the contour of StonEastonPark. Out of bounds down the left and a large tree guarding the right hand side of the fairway make it a very tight tee shot. The brave players will keep the ball close to the out of bounds on the left leaving an easier second shot. Playing to the right off the tee will be safer but will leave a tighter second. From The Fairway Toughest hole on the course. Choose to leave your tee shot short of the two lakes left and right of the fairway and you will be left with a 200 yard shot over water to an extremely narrow green. Drive further up into the narrow part of the fairway between the lakes and leave yourself a mid iron approach. Better to aim at the left hand side of the green as the right hand side is only 12 yards deep
