Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The first hole is a slight dog leg to the left with the tee shot facing a gradual down hill grade to the knee of the dog leg.
From The Fairway The fairway sand bunker on the right will catch many good drives on the right side. Between the knee and the green there is a hill that hides the green.
On The Green As you walk down the fairway from the tee, you will be able to see the flag stick for a few moments. When the group ahead of you clears the green, they will ring a bell to announce it's clear to play.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee While this is NOT the #1 handicap hole on the course (i.e., the most difficult hole) according to the USGA, it seems to be the most difficult for the average golfer
From The Fairway As you can see from the first photo the fairway is narrow. There is a pond that begins about 215 yards from the Gold tee
On The Green The pond extends for about 90 yards, putting some tension on your second shot. The green is an unusually large green because it's actually a double green. The front flag stick is for hole #2 and the rear flag stick is for hole #6.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the toughest hole on the course according to the USGA rating system. There is a pond that starts at approximately 190 yards from the Gold tee.
From The Fairway The pond extends for about 25 yards. The fairway is narrow, but there is fairway to the right of the pond. The second photo shown below gives a good view of the pond from the Red tee
On The Green If you try to use the strip of land to the right of the pond as a landing area for your ball, you might end up in "golf course jail"; see the third photo for a view from jail.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the first par three on the course. It's a welcome break after the daunting first three holes
From The Fairway Except for a large sand trap on the right front of the green, and another on the right side, it's a fairly straight forward hole.
On The Green
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole has the widest driving of any hole on the course. There is a lookout platform on the right of the tee, since the landing area of a good drive is hidden from view at the tees.
From The Fairway Please check to see if the fairway is clear before teeing off. There is very small pond (20 feet in diameter) in the left center part of the fairway about 200 yards from the Gold tee
On The Green The pond seems to reach out and grab what might have been a really great drive. The second photo below gives you a good view of that pond
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee If you are hoping to get a birdie, the sixth hole is your best chance. It's a dog leg to the left. Unfortunately, there are multiple opportunities to get into trouble.
From The Fairway Immediately to the left there is a pond. Behind the trees on the left there is another pond.
On The Green There is a third pond on the right center of the fairway about 195 yards from the Gold tee. There is a small stream that connects the third pond to the second pond. The green is about 15 yards from that stream.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Compared to the first par 5, this par 5 is a bit easier because the fairway is a little wider, giving you fewer chances to get into trouble
On The Green However, the slight dog leg about 125 yards in front of the green makes reaching the green in two very challenging.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee This is referred to as the Signature Hole on the course. It's a par 3 that has an enormous pond that takes up a majority of the hole.
From The Fairway The Red tees are off to the right, and it is possible to bounce the ball from the Red tee to the green.
On The Green Not as likely on the Gold and Silver tees. The three sand traps protecting the green add another degree of difficulty.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a tough hole. It is up hill from the Gold and Silver tees. A good drive will get you to the knee of a strong dog leg to the right.
From The Fairway There are two difficult sand traps protecting the green. Since the landing area for good drives is hidden from view from the tee, a bell is on the right side of the fairway to indicate to the following group that you have cleared the area.
On The Green The Red tee is half way up the hill, making it much easier to reach the dog leg.
