Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee From the tee box you will be unable to see the hole so aim slightly for the top of the hill to the right of centre. Your second or third shot depending on your ball distance will be a blind shot over the hill.
From The Fairway Aim to the right, towards the road that parallels the course as the fairway slopes significantly from right to left. From here you’ll have a clear shot into the green.
On The Green Watch the red staked ditch just to the left of the green. When chipping try to leave your ball below the hole as the green slopes severely from back to front.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is straight uphill right off the tee box. A forgiving wide fairway allows the player to swing freely. Depending on your distance, you may be faced with a blind shot on your second hit.
From The Fairway
On The Green The hole is to the right of the tall fir you’ll see up ahead. If you are within 100 yards, down club to prevent running off the back of the green as it will leave you with a difficult chip shot. Be aware of a sand trap on the left.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Beware of the sand traps. Two in front, and a long shallow bunker at the back. The large green, while it appears flat, does have slope that requires study before putting.
On The Green The fairway hugs the roadway. Aim your drive centre to avoid going out of bounds over the road. A sharp elevated green makes for a challenging approach.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Steer your drive clear of the trees that line the right side of the fairway as that is out of bounds. Also avoid the trees on the left of the green as they could block you out.
From The Fairway
On The Green This elevated tee box affords you a prime view of the golf course and its surroundings. Your drive needs to be over 200 yards in order to make the small green. The green has a slight rise at the front which will stop or slow the ball, and a hump on the left that should be avoided if possible.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From these tees it is a fairly straight shot down the fairway. Note the bunkers on the left side and the hillock on the right at about 100 yards from the green.
On The Green The green is elevated with a long sloping front. The green slopes from front to back, making your approach shot difficult as you must clear the front slope but hold the green to prevent running off the back. An undulating green makes putting a challenge.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway These tee boxes require the player to drive his ball clear of the lake to the right. Aiming for the willow will put you within 100 yards of the green. Should your ball land in the lake, there is a drop zone in front of the tees on the fairway.
On The Green Direct your approach shots to the left as this green slopes to the lake and has a large sloping bunker at the right front. Be careful not to overshoot the hole as precarious rough surrounds the back of the hole. This large green with its significant slope can be tricky, especially if you are putting from a distance.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This Par 3 is reachable by most golfers. Be careful of the trap on the left of the green as it has a severe lip. The green slopes from back to front, with a ridge that runs across
On The Green Club selection is crucial as going past the green requires a downhill chip, while leaving the ball short means navigating over the raised front.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway While the player has the advantage of a raised tee box, the fairway falls dramatically from left to right. Aim for the left as the ball will run right. Sliced drives may end up in the lake, however, the lake is marked by red stakes.
On The Green In order to have a good approach shot, the player must hit to the left of the hole which may not be possible if you are to the left of the green and shut out by an Arbutus tree. A layup shot to the 100 yard mark may be required. Should you go for the green and your ball heads right into the tall grass, do not lose hope as there is a long sand trap to the right of the hole.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From here aim your drive towards the trees on the left. The fairway is straight forward until you reach the green.
On The Green A creek runs about 30 yards off the centre of the green and bunkers lie on either side. The green slopes back to front. Chip shots should be aggressive if it is a blue flag
