From The Tee Strategy is more important than length on the opening hole of Gary Player's Signature Course.
From The Fairway
On The Green Your best bet is to stay left and land your drive at the 150 mark to set up for your second shot. Hitting long, short or right into the green will make for a tough par.
From The Tee The first of five great par fives. This is a good three shot hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green Lay up your second just past the 150 mark to set up your third shot into the large and mostly flat, elevated green. Watch the pin placement, as the green has a deceptive slope toward Lake Como.
From The Tee Accuracy trumps length in playing number three.
From The Fairway Hit your tee shot right and your ball will funnel to the middle of the narrow sloping fairway. A long drive to the left will put you right in the path of a walnut tree!
On The Green The green is well protected, and keep in mind that a back left pin placement will play slightly longer than it appears.
From The Tee The first of five par threes, the fourth hole is short but tough.
From The Fairway The huge swale on the right leads you to a two-tiered green where the back is lower than the front. Landing long or left of the green will get you in trouble.
From The Tee It's decision time on what could be called Geneva National's best par four.
From The Fairway Brave souls will go for the hidden fairway on the left, while the safer bet may be going to the right. Look to the pin placement to help in your decision.
From The Tee Player's sixth hole not only provides great scenery, it may be our best par three on site. Long enough for a challenge, yet not prohibitive, you have plenty of bail out area on the left.
From The Tee The distance to clear the fairway bunker increases the further left you go.
From The Fairway
On The Green Aim at the right side bunker with a draw and you're golden. It's a long approach shot to a two-leveled green. The back right pin position is the most difficult, so take care not to go over the green.
From The Tee This is a good three-shot par five for all but the longest hitters.
From The Fairway A draw off the tee will give you your best ball flight. At 100 yards out, the fairway splits low and high. Lay up on the left for your best approach shot. The green is difficult to hold with the right back sloping away and a hogs back in the middle.
From The Tee Number ten is a refreshing break. Long hitters have a great birdie chance.
From The Fairway
On The Green A long drive here will get you extra distance as it rolls downhill for a great second shot. Hitting into the green, misses tend to kick to the pond, so err to the hill on the left.
From The Tee Another decision is due. Will you make it to the top of the hill or lay it up short? Landing in the middle is a bad bet.
From The Fairway
On The Green Knowing the pin placement here is key as many times you will have a blind shot into the green. Too far left is O-B. Strategy is needed as you approach this well guarded, three-level green.
From The Tee Number twelve could make or break your round.
From The Fairway There's more fairway on the left than you may think. Aim left and you should roll back to the center of the fairway, go to the right and your luck just ran out.
On The Green The green is a tough one, deceptively uphill and narrow with deep bunkers on the left, so your best bet is to err to the right.
From The Tee Number fourteen's a scoring hole - here's your chance to make one back. Long hitters should drive left to cut the corner and shorten the hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The long and narrow green is guarded by a creek in the front.
From The Tee The great view of Lake Como is stunning as you tee up for the last of the Player
From The Fairway Course's par fives. Ahead you have a wide fairway with tons of room on the right, so swing away. Accuracy on your third shot is important to position yourself for a birdie attempt.
From The Tee The last and the longest of Player's par threes.
From The Fairway
On The Green Your shot is slightly uphill and usually into the wind to the round, flat green. Give yourself some momentum going into 18 by taking advantage of the fairly straight forward 17.
