From The Tee Accuracy tends to be more important than distance on the first hole of the Trevino Course.
From The Fairway Your best bet is to favor the right side of the fairway as the left slants into trouble.
On The Green The green is shallow and is split into two tiers left and right. Stick the green on the pin side, or be prepared to test your putter early in the round.
From The Fairway From the tee, avoid the fairway bunkers on the left.
On The Green Erring to the right shouldn't be a prO-Blem as the hill will knock your ball back into the fairway. Your second shot may be more downhill than it appears toward the two-tiered green.
From The Tee This par five, dogleg right is Trevino's Signature hole on the course.
From The Fairway Tough to reach in two, the green is guarded along the entire front by a rocky creek.
On The Green Make sure you check the pin position as this green is forty yards deep, so just making it to the dance floor can still leave you a long putt.
From The Tee Don't be tempted to drive over the bunkers on the right,
From The Fairway the advantage is minimal and the generous fairway offers the best view of the green from the left. Best bet for the long hitter is to hit your 3-wood to the 150 yard marker.
On The Green The green is shallow on the left, and the bunker guarding the front will surely swallow any short shots.
From The Fairway The fairway bunker can easily be reached from the tee, and O-B markers guard both sides. A long hitter should clear the bunker leaving a short second shot. The green slopes back to front more than it may appear.
From The Tee This hole is more challenging that it appears.
From The Fairway Scattered hazards protect the fairway and green in all directions. You may only need to hit a long iron or fairway wood off the tee to lay-up short of the hazard and bunkers that bisect the fairway.
On The Green Your second shot will require a mid to long iron into a well protected green.
From The Tee Grip it & rip it. This straightway par 5 is the longest hole on the course. The pond on the right starts at the 150 yard marker and in, so your lay-up shot must be accurate.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green slopes from back to front and is well protected by bunkers on three sides.
