Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway "A gentle starting hole where a straight drive down the hill will leave just a short pitch to the green but longer hitters beware of the open ditches in the rough to the left and right of the fairway just short of the green. Bunkers at the left and right also await an errant second shot."
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee "A slight dogleg left up the hill, the sensible play is up the middle, as cutting the dogleg will leave you a shorter second shot but will you be blocked out by a tree.
From The Fairway
On The Green Any second shot into the bank on the right should roll back onto the green, but miss left and you face a tough pitch up to the raised green."
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee "A testing par 3 with an elevated tee. Beware of the bunkers left and right and some vicious swings on the green!"
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee "A fairly straight forward Par 5, more skillful golfers will set it out over the trees with a draw which will shorten the hole considerably, but anything that does not make it is gone.
From The Fairway A bunker is also placed just over the brow beyond the 150 marker to the left side of the fairway and a deep pot bunker awaits any approach to the green pulled left."
On The Green
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee "Another Par 5 where ditches run up the left and right next to the tree line, anything outside the right hand ditch is O-O-B.
From The Fairway
On The Green Quite a tight drive and second shot, but negotiate these safely and you should be left with a fairly straight forward shot into a large green."
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee "A relatively short Par 3 over a pond, but loaded with danger. Anything miss hit will almost certainly end up wet.
From The Fairway
On The Green A wide bunker in front of the green and another to the left coupled with dense woodland to the right and behind leave little room for error!"
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee "This hole doglegs slightly to the left. The safe line is to aim at the right hand white 150 marker. Longer hitters can cut the dogleg by hitting it straight over the wooded area.
From The Fairway Be aware of the open ditch that runs between the 150 marker and the green, this can catch out super long hitters from the tee, particularly in summer, and also waits to collect a miss hit 2nd shot.
On The Green The green slopes from right to left and is protected by a grass bunker on the high side and a deep bunker way below the level of the green waits to collect anything pulled left. Right handers will usually have the ball above their feet for their second shot on this hole."
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee "A fairly straight forward par 4, just beware of the ditch and out of bounds up the left.
From The Fairway Also anything blocked out to the right will find no real trouble, but you could be blocked out by a tree.
On The Green A bunker on the front left corner of the long narrow green will tend to swallow anything under hit."
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green "A long Par 3 with O-O-B up the left side, anything blocked right will usually be collected by the mature conifers.A 2 tier green can leave a challenging put if you are on the wrong level."
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway "A fairly straight forward hole if you hit the fairway, anything wayward could see you blocked out by one of the many trees dotted around the rough."
On The Green
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway "Open ditches left and right await a very stray tee shot, but anywhere near the fairway poses little trouble.
On The Green Any second shot hit towards the right edge of the green usually gathers down. Try to avoid the bunker to the left though."
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway "A long par 4, miss the fairway and you are unlikely to be able to get up to the large green in 2."
On The Green
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green "A short par 3 with a green that slopes up from the front. With the pin at the front it is a straight forward hole but the further back the pin goes increases the difficulty as the green narrows with a fall of to the left right and rear."
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee "Our signature hole and a favourite of members and visitors alike. A long iron or utility club is usually enough to get to the corner of the sharp dogleg.
From The Fairway The secret is how close you dare set out your tee shot to the tree line on the left as the further right you go will leave a longer unsighted second shot.
On The Green Position A is just beyond the left hand 150 marker at the top of the bank where you will be left with a clear view of the green sitting well below you with a short iron in your hands. Beware of over clubbing this as anything long could end up in the river."
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee "The main trouble is down the right where the land falls away towards the river bank and anything down this side will tend to kick even further right and into trouble.
From The Fairway The safe route is up the left side. The fairway dips down steeply at about 130 yards out before climbing back up to the green. Watch out for the open ditch in the dip and a bunker to the left of the green.
On The Green Any second shot blocked out right will usually tangle up in the large tree which sometimes spits the ball back onto the green but more often than not throws it into the river!!"
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway "A slight dogleg left where you should aim for the right side of the fairway to avoid the risk of getting blocked out by the conifers, avoid them and you will have a fairly straight forward shot into the green."
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee "A short par 3 and the easiest hole on the course!! Make sure you get up to the top level, anything less will wind it’s way back off the front of the green. The uphill nature of this hole means it is generally 1 club more than you think."
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee "A great finishing hole which doglegs gently left. The fairway also slopes right to left and the rough is scattered with tree’s of varying maturity, so hitting the fairway is key if you are to get up in 2."
