Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Already the tee shot decides about success or failure. It should be placed between the left water hazard (beginning at approx. 140 or 70 meters) and the bend on the right side (beginning at approx. 210 or 130 meters).
From The Fairway The 2nd shot should be played straight down the fairway towards the green. However, long hitters should take into account that a fairway bunker lurks 120m from the start of the green.
On The Green The green, again 28 meters deep, is protected by two bunkers at the front left and front right. It is quite level.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee At first glance, this course looks very narrow. To the left is out, to the right is first deep rough, then a copse. A bold and straight tee shot directly over the bunker (it extends from about 170 or 130 to about 190 or 150 meters from the tee) finds a wide landing zone.
From The Fairway The shot into the green with a short iron is problem-free with a successful tee shot
On The Green The green is 24m deep and slopes gently from back to front.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Here you have two options: Either you hit the tee shot carry over the ditch - a trajectory of at least 195m or 145m is then required - or you lay up with a longer iron or a fairway wood.
From The Fairway If you choose the second option, however, you will be left with a not-so-easy shot into the green. It is very well protected by a long frontal bunker and the out boundary left and back.
On The Green The green slopes gently forward from the side and back edges.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Mastering this course requires hard work. Even the tee shot requires length and straightness. On the left lurks the out-of-bounds, on the right is a ditch that flows into a pond at driveline length.
From The Fairway The 2nd shot should be hit between the two side fairway mounds. If this is successful, the shot can be made to the green.
On The Green The green is easy to hit because of its size (depth 34m), but it falls quite heavily from back to front. A ball position below the flag saves some frustration.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Now you are standing at the tee of the shortest par 5 hole of the Pinnau, a 431m resp. 386m long dogleg to the left. The aim of the tee shot should be a position to the right of the group of trees in approx. 210 or 160 meters.
From The Fairway The short third shot decides your chance for par or birdie. If your execution is poor, the three greenside bunkers to the left and right of the green may come into play.
On The Green Here, too, you will encounter a deep green. It falls gently ondulated from the back right to the front
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The signature hole on the B course is reached. It requires the highest concentration. The island location in connection with the wind sensitivity makes extensive preliminary considerations sensible.
From The Fairway The shot into the green should be at least approx. 120 or 100 meters long. If it then also flies straight into the middle of the green, the main task is mastered.
On The Green The green is 32m deep and falls from behind to the front. It is especially treacherous because of the front green, which slopes steeply to the right and left towards the water hazard.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot should be placed to the left of the bunker (it starts at about 205 meters or 160 meters and is about 14 meters deep).
From The Fairway The shot into the green requires length and precision. Three bunkers lurk to the right, and the elevated position of the green with sloping hillsides punishes any inaccurate shot.
On The Green The green consists of a higher level at the back left and a part that slopes sharply to the front and right.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The difficulty of the tee depends on the position of the flag and the willingness to take risks. It should be at least 125 meters or 110 meters long, but straight ahead it should not be longer than 145 or 130 meters, because behind the middle of the green there is an unpleasant bunker.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is very moving and falls from behind to the front.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Either place your tee shot to the right of the fairway bunker or play the dangerous variant, the tiger line.
From The Fairway The 2nd shot is made difficult by the out boundary on the left and the two green bunkers. In addition, the green also allows for awkward flag positions.
On The Green The green is 39 meters deep and has a raised plateau in the back. A flag positioned here makes the adrenaline level rise even more.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The round already begins with a serious task. The entire left side of the course is limited by a water hazard. A straight drive of 220 meters or 180 meters is required.
From The Fairway The second shot should be played straight down the course towards the second fairway bunker. This opens up an approach shot from about 100 meters onto a slightly ondulated green which slopes from back to front.
On The Green A bad shot is penalized by water on the left and a greenside bunker on the right.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot must bridge at least 155 meters or 138 meters to overcome the deep wave in front of the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green then slopes from front to back. Care must be taken not to miss the green on the left, as a large pond already known from hole C1 lurks here.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee An ambitious drive of 210 meters or 150 meters is enough to overcome the pond on the right side and land about 80 meters in front of the green.
From The Fairway If you do not want to muster this courage, you can play past the pond on the left. The second shot is then extended to about 160 meters.
On The Green For the brave, a short approach to a green unguarded from this direction opens up. Variation B requires a courageous shot on a heavily guarded green, which slopes from the front to the back.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee This straight course at the edge of the forest opens with a long drive towards the fairway bunker 220 meters or 180 meters away. Attention: The entire left side is defined by a boundary 20 meters before the forest.
From The Fairway Shot 2 is to be played with a mid to long iron towards the 2nd fairway bunker. The fairway slopes nicely towards the green and supports the game.
On The Green Precision is now required with a short iron from about 60 - 80 meters. The relatively small green, which slopes from right to left and from back to front is protected by 2 large bunkers, especially on the right side. A birdie is an exception despite the small overall length of the hole.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee A view of the beautiful Pinnau lowlands opens up. The oak tree in the background serves as orientation.
From The Fairway
On The Green The large green is defended on the left by a bunker, on the right a large wave awaits a shot that is too short. The tee shot must be at least 120 meters or 80 meters long to reach the green.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The second shot with a long iron must reach a narrow aisle. On the right there is a threat of a wetland, on the left the near out boundary.
From The Fairway The approach to the green is complicated by the large pond on the right. The green hangs heavily from the back to the front.
On The Green Due to the fact that the course is slightly uphill, it should be noted that you need at least one club more for the approach than usual, otherwise you will remain too short.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Probably the most difficult hole of the C-course awaits you. A good tee shot of 220 meters or 180 meters takes you to the narrowest part of the course. Here the large wetland on the right side is the decisive obstacle.
From The Fairway The second shot requires a long iron or even a wood to reach a small green defended by a bunker to the right.
On The Green The green is only 13m deep and slopes to the back. Here a par is a perceived birdie!
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest par 3 of the whole course should not be underestimated.
From The Fairway
On The Green The shot to the green must hit the plateau, on which the flag is also located, otherwise the putt becomes a problem difficult to calculate.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A good drive of 220 meters and 160 meters respectively finds the fairway left of the two large fairway bunkers that obscure the view of the green from the tee.
From The Fairway Then a second shot opens up with a mid iron to an elevated closing green. Plan on an extra iron to compensate for this height difference if necessary.
On The Green The green falling from the back to the front is slightly ondulated.
