Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The first hole of our 18-hole championship course is quite something.
From The Fairway With HCP 1 it is rated as the most difficult course and not without good reason. From the tee, it is advisable to aim for the right edge of the fairway, because the landing zone hanging to the left causes the ball to jump to the left.
On The Green In addition, a tee shot placed to the right shortens the green shot, as the fairway bends slightly to the right after about 180 meters.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The players at the Wannsee Golf Club also fear the second fairway. When the game opens, the motto is “precision instead of length”.
From The Fairway Especially from the back tees, the narrow path between the trees doesn't offer much room for directional deviations.
On The Green For this reason, many experienced players prefer to use an iron to hit instead of the driver.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee When we reach the third tee, a little tension typically subsides among our club's players.
From The Fairway After a comparatively easy tee shot, precision is required when hitting the green.
On The Green It is better not to try to hit the flag directly, because if you miss the green you will face serious chip and bunker shots.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The fourth hole of the championship course offers long hitters an excellent opportunity to hit the green with their second shot.
From The Fairway An aggressive strategy off the tee is often rewarded here.
On The Green If the tee shot misses the fairway, after a recovery shot you usually still have the opportunity to play the third shot to the flag.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway On fairway 5, the golfer is required to act strategically. Depending on whether the flag position is on the right or left of the almost 30 meter wide green, it is advantageous to play on the other side of the fairway. Otherwise, overhanging branches can quickly make hitting the flag a real challenge.
On The Green
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Although hole 6 is the shortest par 4 on our 18-hole championship course, the very narrow landing zone hardly allows for offensive play.
From The Fairway
On The Green A strategically good option here is to choose a club from the tee that gives you about 80 meters to the start of the green. Then neither trees nor bunkers come into play.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The seventh hole curves slightly to the right so that the flag cannot be seen from the tee.
From The Fairway Accordingly, it is recommended to aim for the right edge of the fairway bunker and let the ball drift back onto the fairway from there.
On The Green The green is protected from the front by two bunkers. So make sure that the approach shot is not too short.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The green of the first par 3 of our 18-hole championship course is a good 10 meters below the tee and therefore usually plays about one club shorter.
From The Fairway In general, missing a shot for a little too long is punished with a difficult chip shot from the rough, which is knee-deep in summer.
On The Green
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee On paper, the ninth hole is the shortest par 5 on our course. However, only players who can make a controlled right turn in order to get into a good position after teeing off can benefit from this.
From The Fairway From experience, the ball can hardly be too far to the right in the blind landing zone.
On The Green This not only shortens the fairway, but also ensures a good angle for further shots towards the flag.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee With a length of over 200 meters for men and 183 meters for women, hole 10 is one of the most difficult par 3 holes in the region.
From The Fairway
On The Green The difficulty is of course primarily in length control. The green is comparatively flat compared to the other holes on the course.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Due to the raised fairway, hole 11 plays significantly longer than the length stated on the tee board.
From The Fairway A precise transport hit on the left side of the track is particularly important here. From there, every flag position can be played safely.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee On hole 12, about 130 meters from the start of the green, a fairway bunker placed on the left side protects the landing zone for the tees.
From The Fairway A suitable orientation for the opening of the game is the right edge of the fairway.
On The Green When making approach shots, the golfer is particularly required to have good length control, as the front and back parts of the green are separated by a large difference in height.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway On the one hand, you can position your tee shot with a length of approx. 170 meters on the upper plateau of the fairway, and on the other hand, long hitters have the option of driving down the wave to play and place the ball around 60 meters in front of the green. We leave the risk assessment to you yourself.
On The Green
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee On the beautiful hole 14, the difference in height and headwind from the tee often compensate for each other. The headwind that often occurs is often not felt on the tee box, but if the ball rises over the tops of the trees, it is noticeably slowed down.
From The Fairway
On The Green So if you are deciding between two shots, it is advisable to choose the longer club, not least because of the bunker placed at the front left.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 15 is not only a challenge for our club's players because of its length, but the starting window, which appears to be very small when teeing off, also increases the difficulty of this golf hole.
From The Fairway If you as a player make it over the fairway bunker, there is enough space there to aim for the right half of the fairway. After finding the long path to the green, one final challenge awaits the player here.
On The Green The left and right halves of the green are separated from each other by a considerable wave. So make sure you hit the right plateau with your approach shot.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Although the course of hole 16 up to the green initially seems quite unspectacular, the heavily undulating green demands a lot of feeling and creativity from the golfer in the short game.
From The Fairway Depending on the position of the flag, the desired two-putt becomes a real challenge.
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The par 3, which was named one of the most beautiful holes in Germany by Golf Magazine in July 2020, is a real challenge, and not just because of the frontal water.
From The Fairway The green with several steps also means that you have to fight for par even after well-placed tee shots.
On The Green When playing on the raised green, it is usually advisable to choose one more club to compensate for the difference in height.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee The last hole on our 18-hole championship course is rated as the second hardest hole on the course and is therefore another real test at the end of the round.
From The Fairway From the tee box, the left half of the lane turns out to be a better miss. When hitting the green, pay attention to the bunkers on the left, which provide excellent protection for the green.
On The Green Depending on the position of the flag, aim to the right of the flag in order to successfully complete the 18-hole round.
