From The Tee

From The Fairway Ideally, the tee shot should be around 180 meters. Because of the dogleg to the left, this tee shot must not be too short, otherwise the tall trees of the Welper Forest will prohibit the possibility of attacking the green with the second shot.

On The Green If the shot is successful, there is an approach of approx. 100 meters over the pond, which should land on the front part of the green, as the green slopes slightly from back to front.

Hole Name The longer the better

From The Tee

From The Fairway At 560 meters (men) and 486 meters (women), this hole is one of the longest and most difficult holes in Northern Germany. The track is not only long, but also very narrow.

On The Green The tee shot must be played precisely. Long is an advantage, but the woods left and right require a straighter and less risky shot. 200 meters in front of the green there is a transverse green ditch, which should be reached with the second shot for par in order to be able to see the green.

Hole Name Lönsgrave

From The Tee A short par 4 dogleg to the right. In order to cover the heath, it only takes 120 meters for men and 80 meters for women.

From The Fairway It is 60 meters further to the drive point. If you want to make your second shot easier, the left side of the fairway is ideal. The green is two-tiered and slopes from back to front.

Hole Name Bermuda Triangle

From The Tee

From The Fairway The 4th hole is a classic dogleg to the right with two different fairways. The bottom right requires a maximum tee shot of 140 meters for men, otherwise the pond comes into play.

On The Green The second shot goes 160 meters up the hill onto the foregreen. The upper left alternative is well suited for longer tee shots (around 200 meters for men). But even after a shorter tee shot, you can attack the green with your second shot over the bushes.

Hole Name Devil hole

From The Tee The "devil's hole", although only 170 meters long for men and 154 meters for women, often presents itself as a psychological problem.

From The Fairway First, a ravine has to be played over (85 or 66 meters) and then the green is well protected by three bunkers, two on the right in front and one at the back.

On The Green The left side is the easier one to play the green, which slopes from right to left.

Hole Name At the woodpecker tree

From The Tee A typical path in Welpe: forest on the left and right, which many find particularly beautiful.

From The Fairway An oak tree with a bell can be seen from the tee: the ideal drive point. It is about 250 meters from the finish and marks the sharp dogleg to the left.

On The Green The approach to the green should favor the left side because the tall trees to the right of the green block the path.

From The Fairway

On The Green A long par 3! The tee shot must be played very precisely between the bunkers on the left and right. The green hangs from back to front.

Hole Name In the birch grove

From The Tee

From The Fairway The eighth hole – not a dogleg. The tee shot should be placed to the left of the two fairway bunkers.

On The Green The hole is not long, but after a good tee shot you have to avoid the wetland habitat on the left side and the bunkers to the right of the green.

Hole Name At the bird bush

From The Tee A slight dogleg from right to left. A precise tee shot is required because of the two bunkers on the left and the pond on the right.

From The Fairway A second pond borders the fairway on the left to the green, which hangs from left to right and is defended by three bunkers - left, right and back.

On The Green

Hole Name A month of Sundays

From The Tee Hole 10 is not only the longest of the par 4 holes in Vechta, but also the most difficult.

From The Fairway From the tee the hole looks relatively wide. The ideal drive point is slightly left of the middle of the fairway with the slight dogleg to the right.

On The Green Two oak trees form a tree gate narrowing the fairway 80 m in front of the green. The green is protected with bunkers on the left.

Hole Name Rabbit Boulevard

From The Tee With a view of a beautiful 100-year-old oak tree, the gentlemen have to cover a former fire extinguishing pond.

From The Fairway The ladies only have to pay attention to the forest to the right and left of the fairway and a ditch to the left. The actually quite short 11th hole requires very precise shots from the tee to the green.

On The Green Because of the dogleg to the left, the right side of the fairway should be played, from where the green can be attacked more easily. Bunkers on the left and right protect the stepped greens.

Hole Name Oh Christmas tree

From The Tee A stately solitary fir tree with a neighboring birch tree attracts the eye and is a focal point. Here the dog's leg bends to the left.

From The Fairway A long hitter can attack the green with the second shot, but should keep an eye on the bunkers, which can also annoy the normal golfer on the third shot.

On The Green The green hangs clearly from right to left, which should be taken into account when making the approach shot.

Hole 13

Hole Name Pros Moneymaker

From The Tee The shortest and, according to the standard distribution, the easiest course on the golf course.

From The Fairway The pond to the right in front of the green is a classic “ball grab”. A beach bunker on the right and a deep bunker on the left stand between the golfer and the actually easy-to-play birdie.

Hole Name In the Grünenmoor

From The Tee

From The Fairway The only hole on the golf course without a forest! The tee shot should be played to the right towards the two fairway bunkers so that the first pond on the left and the left fairway bunker do not come into play.

On The Green A second wetland biotope on the left and a real bunker landscape on the right replace the forest. The green is hanging.

From The Tee Heath and forest on the right as well as bunkers on the left require precise play on the supposedly easy course in order to land on the green with one shot.

Hole Name Snipe dash

From The Tee An English oak gives the direction for the tee shot: a little to the right is good, too far to the right a deep ditch is annoying.

From The Fairway

On The Green A waste bunker and another water hazard determine the path to the green on the right. On the left, a bunker guards the undulating green.

Hole 17

Hole Name At the Kortenbusch

From The Tee

From The Fairway The direction of drive for an ideal shot is the cow. The forest on the right and a ditch on the left limit the fairway. A path must be covered (be careful: walkers and even cars cross the fairway).

On The Green A 180 meters tee shot across the path allows for a second shot onto the green, with the golf course's greatest gradient from back to front. A water hazard on the left and three bunkers must be avoided. In any case, you should have time to look at the storks.

Hole 18

Hole Name Nineteen minus one

From The Tee On the left the driving range is marked as an out zone. However, a relatively easy par 5 requires a long tee shot of 200 meters (men's, women's 140 meters) to the drive point in order to overcome the dogleg bend. The small pond should be left on the right.

From The Fairway Past the second pond on the left you go up the hill, showing two fairway bunkers the path to the green. This is strongly protected by two bunkers. It hangs from back to front.
