Hole 1

Hole Name

From The Tee The first hole is a very short, but not entirely easy hole - it requires a good tactical start. One option is to attack with the driver over the path at approx. 170m and then attack the green.

From The Fairway To set the second with two iron shots and to hit the green with a well-placed 3rd shot, but to avoid a penalty shot. The fact that hole 1 goes steadily uphill should be taken into account in the tactics.

On The Green A bunker guards the green on the right front side, which lies in a slight dogleg to the right, and punishes approaches that are too short.

From The Tee This short PAR 3 looks easier at first glance than it actually is to play. Two bunkers prevent the ball from rolling onto the green - a birdie is possible, but you should always pay close attention to the wind factor when teeing off, as the hole is located at the highest point on the golf course.

From The Tee

From The Fairway The first hurdle, a significant slope, can be overcome with a hearty drive or a long iron. The landing zone after the embankment is wide, but CAUTION: the fairway slopes continuously to the right - so always play a little further to the left.

On The Green Past an apricot orchard, the hole has a long dogleg to the left. This green is also excellently guarded by 3 bunkers.

Hole Name

From The Tee One of the most romantic holes on the course is hole #4 - surrounded by apricot trees and with a wonderful view of the Weinviertler natural landscapes.

From The Fairway The fairway leads down to the green in a terraced shape in a kind of funnel. If you tee off too long, you may have difficulty chipping the ball back onto the green.

On The Green

Hole 5

Hole Name

From The Tee The start of a 5-way PAR 4 combination and the longest PAR 4 on the course. The fairway tapers in the driving zone and also has a very attractive bunker integrated on the left and right.

From The Fairway

On The Green If the drive is at the level of these bunkers, the green can definitely be reached with the second shot. A good tip: it's better to stay a little further to the right, as the left side of the hole is completely out.

Hole Name

From The Tee At hole 6, a cultivated field (out) extends into the driving zone on the left side and two bunkers on the right await the tee - but there is still enough space to risk a decent drive.

From The Fairway

On The Green With a well-placed iron shot into the green, nothing stands in the way of a good score on this hole.

Hole Name

From The Tee A largely underestimated hole, as an uncontrolled tee shot here can easily lead to a makeshift ball (or even a penalty).

From The Fairway

On The Green Once you have placed the tee safely, you can attack the green, which in this case is not very easy, but not impossible either, as the green lies in a dogleg to the right, guarded by a bunker.

From The Fairway The difficulty with this hole is that the fairway only widens after 100 meters - the tee shot therefore needs a certain length and should not have too much spread.

On The Green Due to the length, it takes two really good shots to reach the green with the second shot.

Hole 9

Hole Name

From The Tee A not too long PAR 4, but the fairway slopes slightly to the left throughout. There is a bunker in the driving zone - from this point the fairway rises slightly towards the flag.

From The Fairway Since the green is located in a slight dogleg to the right, the flag is not visible from every position.

On The Green Once you have arrived at the green and holed out, nothing stands in the way of refreshment (drinks machine) or relief (separate toilets).

Hole 10

Hole Name

From The Tee An interesting PAR 3 awaits you right at the halfway station. From the tee you have a wonderful view of the green.

From The Fairway With a powerful shot (depending on the pin position and the wind, this may be a different club choice) and you land directly on the green.

On The Green The putting line should be read carefully as the green has some undulations.

From The Tee The ideal hole to place a beautiful drive on the fairway. After about 200m this has a slight dogleg to the right, where it then continues on a pleasantly wide fairway.

From The Fairway From there you just have to make sure that the ball doesn't end up in a too fatal rough position.

On The Green When playing the green, pay attention to the bunker that is located slightly to the left of the green - it is very attractive!

Hole Name

From The Tee Hole 12 initially looks easier to play than it actually is. Once you have crossed the path with your tee shot, the fairway slopes slightly to the right.

From The Fairway Exactly in the landing zone for long drives on the right side there is an impressive bunker waiting for the ball.

On The Green Once you have bypassed this bunker, the only thing that makes it difficult to play is a tree about 50m to the left of the green. Inaccurate approach shots to the green can end in one of the 3 bunkers.

Hole Name

From The Tee The view from tee 13 invites you to attack - but be careful! At about 150 meters on the right side there is a very attractive forest, which also narrows the fairway a bit.

From The Fairway

On The Green The green is elevated and cannot be seen - an additional invisible bunker makes it difficult to play the green. Once you have achieved this, nothing stands in the way of a successful put.

From The Tee A very challenging PAR 3 that can be played in two ways. The safe option is to present and put into the hole with a placed chip.

From The Fairway The riskier variant is an attack on the green, whereby you should always include the guarding bunkers on both sides of the green and the embankment on the right side in your tactics.

On The Green

Hole Name

From The Tee The longest hole and certainly the most challenging PAR 5 on the course! If you plan to hit with the driver, make sure you have a 100% straight drive beforehand, otherwise you may end up either out or looking for the ball in the rough.

From The Fairway After 150 meters the fairway narrows as there is a vineyard to the left of the fairway.

On The Green Then, at about 200 meters to the green, it widens again and leads in a slight climb to the green, which is guarded by 3 bunkers.

From The Tee The last PAR 3 on the course is certainly not easy to play for golfers who are not familiar with the course. Firstly, this hole is constantly slightly uphill, and secondly, the green is not visible from the tee.

From The Fairway

On The Green If you do take a risk, pay attention to the two bunkers on the green. One bunker punishes shots that are too short slightly to the right of the green, the other penalizes shots that are too long.

Hole 17

Hole Name

From The Tee On the 17th hole you will always be accompanied by an impressive view of the town of Poysdorf and the surrounding area on the right-hand side. The green can definitely be reached with two longer irons.

From The Fairway If you place your approach shot slightly to the left of the green, you will most likely be in the bunker.

On The Green There is only a short catchment area behind the green for overly long approaches, so please pay attention to your iron choice and the wind.

From The Tee

From The Fairway Last but not least, a powerful panoramic tee shot awaits you on the yellow tee on hole 18. Enjoy the view, but don't forget the flights that follow. It's a great feeling to see the ball floating in the air for about 9 seconds (driver!), but it's even greater when it's on the fairway.

On The Green Use a long iron or rescue to approach the green. It is entirely possible to be on the green with your third shot. A final targeted put and you end a wonderful round of golf at GC Veltlinerland Poysdorf.
