From The Fairway The first of the short but still demanding par 3's. From the back tee, a long iron or fairway wood is needed to navigate the water carry.
On The Green The area to the right of the green is known to members as 'Pensioners Corner'.
From The Fairway Number 1 for difficulty, this hole requires a well hit drive positioned slightly left of centre fairway and then another long iron or fairway wood to reach this green which slopes severely from back to front.
On The Green A straight par 5 with bunkers within 100 meters of the green. The undulating green is well bunkered and the length provides a solid test for all golfers.
From The Tee The back nine starts with a par 3 with water on the right and bunkers right and left of the putting surface. A 3 here is a good way to start the inward nine.
On The Green One of the best par 5's in Australia. With the township of Sunbury visible on your left, this 3 shot par 5 has everything, including a well mounded undulating green.
From The Fairway The last of the par 5's and a good eagle chance for long hitters. A new bunker complex surrounding the green makes this a challenging approach shot.
From The Tee Goonawarra's signature hole has four tee locations to choose from and a huge lake to hit over. The 'Island' tee affords one of the great tee shots in the land.
From The Fairway With two holes to play, the second last is a mid length dog-leg left par 4 with fairway bunkers on the corner of the dog-leg. The second shot is uphill to a relatively flat green
From The Tee The last hole at Goonawarra is renowned as being one of the toughest on the course. At 424 meters there aren't many par 4's around longer than this one. Into a southerly wind, most players will be tested.
