Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Quite a generous starting tee shot the aim is to start the ball directly at the left hand side fairway bunker with a gentle fade.
From The Fairway The shot into the green may look fairly easy however be warned that the shot into the green will need precise distance control anything short will bounce right with a tricky chip back up to the green. Anything long or left will see the ball stay up on the embankment leaving you a precarious chip back down the hill.
On The Green Once on the green the fun begins, with 3 tiers if you are not on the right tier then you will need to hit a very good putt.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The longer hitter can certainly take on the bunker visible from the tee on the left, leaving a relatively easy pitch up the green that is only visible from the left hand side of the fairway
From The Fairway If you cannot carry the ball 240m then a well struck tee shot should be aimed at the 3rd tee or the tall lone gum tree. The more you hit it down the left of this fairway the better. This will give you a much better angle into this green.
On The Green The green is very well protected by a large bunker right of the green. Any tee shot down the right will have you hitting over these bunkers. This will also change the angle and depth of the green for the golfer making for a difficult shot into a short par 4. Be aware of the subtle breaks and elevation’s on this green.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is protected by many bunkers. This is one of the largest greens on the East with many pin locations, so the most difficult part could be the putting. The green has several pin placements none of which play too easy. With trouble short and right there is no secret where the best place is to miss.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The green on this short par four situated around the corner of the wetland and waste area to add some strategy to the hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The wide fairway short of the bunkers will allow for an easy lay up off the tee but a more demanding second shot since the green shifted right. With a small green and an added roll guarding the front left of the green, the player will have to pay close attention to the pin location.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This long par 3 sets up for the golfer that can hit a high draw. The tee shot sees bunkers guarding the left side of the green and a large false front, right edge of the green that will see the ball run away from the hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green An ideal shot to a back pin location is to hit the front centre of the green and feed the ball all the way down to a back pin location
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A large waste area runs the entire length of this hole and is certainly not the best place to hit any shot from.
From The Fairway The ideal tee shot is a well struck shot in the direction of the 13th green. The shot into the green has two bunkers left greenside and a large roll on the back right that provides as a backstop for a more forgiving second shot into the green.
On The Green However if you over shoot this green back right it will make for a very difficult up and down.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A very forgiving tee shot and a tee shot you can give a bit more. The longer hitters could go for this hole in two after a good drive finds the fairway.
From The Fairway A large bunker short of the second landing area adds to the strategy on the second shot. Short of the fairway bunker will still see you with 130+m into the green.
On The Green The shot into this green will play longer than you think. With an elevated green a large false front and generally into the wind. Best to hit one more club just in case.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Tee Shot: A well struck shot at the last fairway bunker down the left will leave you with the clearer shot into the green.
From The Fairway From The Fairway: The shot into this green will need to be hit past the 1st 3rd of the green. Otherwise this shot may run down off the front right, leaving you with a difficult chip back up to the elevated green.
On The Green A golfer that is capable of shaping the ball left to right will be best placed by starting their shot at the left side of this green. Around and on the Green: A deep bunker and swale guards the right hand side and with an elevated green this will make for a difficult up and down. Anything above the hole on this green will be a true test to just get the pace right.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee this tee shot is very dependant on wind and tee placement. Make sure you do not get too greedy. Remember this is just 1 shot you will hit on a fairly difficult par 5. Few golfers will ever make the mound on the right side so this may be a good line to take.
From The Fairway From The Fairway: From the last tree on the right hand mound still gives you a shot of over 200m to the green. The last 170m down the right of this hole is all wasteland and getting a good lie will be a lottery. The last tree on the right mound is only 140m to the bunkering you can see in front of the green.
On The Green The start of this bunkering is still over 50m to the centre of the green. Around and on the Green: This is one green that has trouble both right and left. Right has a nest of deep bunkers and left has a steep drop off.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee A solid tee shot with a right to left shape started at the cluster of trees on the mound co sharing with the 9th hole. This will make for a shorter shot into the green on such a long par 4.
From The Fairway From the fairway: The shot into the green is best aimed at the left edge of the green. Do not go right a deep bunker and a large swale are awaiting you.
On The Green Around the green: Be aware that uphill putts on this green in particular is much better than down hill putts.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A tee shot to the top of the hill on a right to left sloping fairway will see you looking down into a green that emerges out of the slope on the right side.
On The Green Shots to the right will feed onto the green, but avoid the bunkers guarding the left side or falling off the back of the green.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A long par 3 with a large green offering a variety of pin positions. Expansive bunkering guards the left side, with plenty of room short and to the right to play a running shot into the green.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A short downhill par 4 with heavily bunkered green and approach to create a classic sand-belt style.
From The Fairway The demanding approach shot will place a premium on hitting the fairway to allow players greater control on their approach shot.
On The Green While the appearance is intimidating, a short iron approach will find a large receptive green with plenty of subtle pin locations.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The inside left of the fairway was cleared of over grown vegetation and a target bunker placed short left.
From The Fairway Carrying directly over this target bunker now places you in the centre of the fairway.
On The Green There is a punch bowl feature added to the green to help set apart the right pin from all others. This pin location will appear more difficult than it plays
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green Brand new Par 3 with the green designed to fit perfectly in the natural surroundings. The green changed to a more “hour glass” shape to help separate the front pins from the lower back pins. The front left of the green has opened up more allowing an easier shot from the forward tees.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The left side of a generous fairway offers the best view and angle of approach into the green. Cross-bunkers on the right guard the direct line to the green for the second shot.
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee New tees have been constructed to offer a challenging carry over natural vegetation to a generous fairway. The fairway bunker works well from either sets of tees as you play into a green that is bunkered short right to protect the right and back pin positions.
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A long and straight drive is essential on the closing hole, rewarding you with a chance to attack the extensively bunkered approach setting up a third shot into a green with distinct levels and guarded by a deep hollow on the front left.
On The Green Over the back is not the place to be, with a difficult up and down left for a closing par from here.
